  1. "it will allow licensed owners to carry firearms into more public places than at any time in the past century, including bars and government buildings that don't have security checkpoints."   I take it this means GA carry permit holders. What about out of state holders?
  2. I never leave the house without my gun. Leave it in the truck when I go some where it is illegal to carry.
  3. if you have a carry permit now, you can open carry. It's a carry permit, not a conceal carry permit. So the question is, should any law abiding citizen be allowed to carry a gun without government approval?
  4. Welcome to TN. I live in Powell. Unfortunately in a subdivision so I don't shoot from my back door. I do hear shots from time to time when I am on the deck.
  5. Too busy this time of year to pay much attention but          GO VOL
  6. WHO WILL PAY THE UNION DUES?
  7. Just goes to show it doesn't take a gun for someone to kill another. It does take a sick mind set.
  8. Nothing new here. Just close your eyes and keep moving. :koolaid:
  9. Yes I received mine and being a law abiding citizen of the State of Tennessee I  will write a check Monday.
  10. i am looking at a house about a mile from a school in Knox County. Two acres so big back yard to shoot in. I was just wondering if there was any info on target practice near schools when I form this article. Anyone else live near school and shoot in their backyard?
  11. Wasn't sure where to post this. A man in FL was target practicing in his back yard. shots heard at near by school. You can guess what happened next.   http://www.myfoxorlando.com/story/20559512/shots-fired-near-deltona-elementary-school

  16. Gun control is the one issue dems. want to avoid during election time. It's the issue that unites the right and will get the vote out. Just like Republicans. should avoid social issues, same sex marriage, abortion etc. unites the left. If Dems win, after the election gun control will be up again.
  17. Called the "Federal Emergency Unemployment Compensation program". Been raised 11 times since 2008. House will vote yes on this. I think the Republicans game plan is to take on action that Dems. could use against them in Nov. Problem with this strategy is they will lose more votes than they gain.
  18. Looks like it works ok. Cheaper than one from Lowes.
  19. For a Republican to win in 2016, the first thing he or she will have to do is appeal to all sides of a very divided party. I don't see any of the currently mentioned candidates doing that. Hopefully there is someone out there that can.
  20. The writer makes some very good points. Too bad no one will fellow them.
  21. This should earn them points with the left. :x:   The gunmaker Mossberg has teamed with Duck Commander, the company owned by "Duck Dynasty's" Robertson clan, to release nine different shotguns, as well as two semiautomatic rifles and a semiautomatic pistol.   http://money.cnn.com/2014/01/02/news/companies/duck-dynasty-guns/index.html
  22. Dope dealers branding their merchandise. Wonder if they got it trademarked? :squint:
  23. Lee was also Superintendent of West Point. . Many of the man Lee fought against, he taught at West Point. To remove any of these great man from the war college would be a disgrace. After the War Between the States, these men made amends with their Union counter parts. Too bad after 150 years members of this generation can't do the same.
