  1. Could be. Lebanon has 4 at last count. Not that far away, so........if there's a market, maybe gun times are good. Competition helps keep prices down, or so they say. LOL
  2. You're right, it's not that big of a deal. You already have to show some proof to get a voters reg. card. Not a stretch to get a DL for ID purposes, or whatever works, for a voter ID. If it'll keep the illegals out, go for it.
  3. I'll agree with talking to Lisa. Other than that, why put it on the app. if it has no meaning?

    Walther 99c ?

Haven't had any experience with the 99c, but did have the 99, in 9mm. One of the best guns I ever owned. Traded it for a Glock 22. Wish I had kept it. Can't go wrong with it IMHO.
  5. Suppose a lot of us can relate to that. After paying the admission, about all I can do is walk around & look. Sure could use one or two of those stimulus pkgs. about now.
  6. That's at least one claim that makes sense. Lightens the wallet...takes the load off the back. LOL
  7. Agreed, TGO forum isn't the best place for legal advise. Why not just go to the horses mouth & give D.O.S. a call. They're the one making the decision. Application says 5 yrs. Likely means just that. Doesn't mean someone hasn't fallen thru the cracks. JMHO
  8. It's not that I don't agree with what Beck has to say, it's just that he gets on my last nerve saying it. He's just a bit out there for me.
  9. Well said. After all is said & done, Ill. is still the front runner. TN is hanging in there tho.
  10. Good jobs guys. Just never know what a few words will do until you try. Had a similar experience lately in a different venue. Speak up!
  11. This reminds one of the old argument, "I drive better when I'm drinking". I'm 100% for the right to carry in establishments that serve/sell alcohol. Drinking while carrying is a bad idea, period. Not everyone responds the same to one drink, two drinks, etc. Not all that difficult to choose between drinking or carrying. Pick one.
  12. You're right, gas prices are expected to hit $4 / gal by Memorial Day, which will be no surprise. Not far from there now. It's going to trickle down to everything else. Wouldn't suggest you grab every component you can lay hands on ( we've been there before), but if you need something, or in the near future, might want to pick up a few. May get another can of HS-6 & some Hornady 40 S&W bullets. That's about it. Good shape on primers.
  13. LOL, Well, that's been known to happen. Happened to me a few times. One of the reasons I was curious why the trade. You Tropic Lightning too?
  14. I have the XDm40 full size. Wish I had waited for the compact. Other than that, no complaints. Full size is just a bit heavy & bulky for carry, especially concealed. Heck of a gun tho.
  15. Bill Goodman's Gun /Knife Show this weekend @ Nashville Fairgrounds. Anyone gonna make it? Only game in town this weekend. Guess I'll have a go at it.
  16. Just wondering why you want to change. Apparently not the caliber.
  17. Certainly better than times past. Congratulations & welcome to the club.
  18. Used to shoot quite a bit of Alabama ammo years ago, in 9mm. Never had an issue. Never tried the Tenn stuff.
  19. This show is for folks with nothing whatsoever to do. Trump is a a--hole. Bad news is, he wants to be Pres.
  20. Gotta agree with my East TN. neighbor here. Gets old quick. On a line with American Chopper, Survivor, Top Shot, etc. Do something interesting we can relate to. Making a RPG out of a hand full of Lucks bean cans or whatever isn't worth watching. You can do most anything if you have the budget & a shop full of equipment.
  21. There was an article in the "Tennessean" a few days ago that debunked the "black panther' or any other panther theory. According to the TWRA, there has been no proof of any panthers in TN. Now believe what you will, or what you may have seen or heard. Also, according to the article, panthers, mountain lions, etc. may be working their way Eastward, much like coyotes have. Whether they are here or not, may not be far from actuality. Coming soon to a neighborhood near you? Stay tuned. If you have a sighting, etc. get some viable proof. Scat, hair, photo, video, etc. Something you can take to the bank. Otherwise, it'll be right up there with Bigfoot. "the truth is out there" X Files.........
  22. Maybe, maybe not. LOL. Many moons ago, I had a Remington Mod.742 Bdl. in 30-06 go full auto on me. Scared the crap out of me! Never did it before or after. Have NO idea what went wrong, but had my full, undivided attention for a long time afterward. Full auto is great if you're expecting it. Hair raising otherwise. This was maybe 40 yrs. ago. Still in memory.
  23. Never tried one of these. Never had any faith in this stuff. My opinion, somewhat like a placebo. If you believe it works, it might. Like to see some tangible evidence.
  24. Yes, it will show up when they run your DL in TN. Other states I can't say, but likely they do as well. Should show the HCP status as well, unless it's so recent it hasn't been posted in the system yet. Things will go much smoother if you just mention it up front. Remember, "you" know you're a good guy/gal. The officer has no idea who he/she is dealing with when they walk up to your vehicle. Thanks
  25. No problem. Honestly believe you'll find it worth the time & money. $19.95 +S&H at Amazon. Here's the link to it. Amazon.com: Teaching Women to Shoot: A Law Enforcement Instructor's Guide (9780965942232): Vicki Farnam, Diane Nicholl: Books
