  1. This same hotel was on the news some time back. Guess they haven't got the hint.
  2. Yeah, I can relate to that. If I buy another gun anytime soon, she's gonna try it out on me. I can resist anything...except temptation. LOL
  3. Update....I along with several others, went to Gallatin this AM for the show. NO ONE there! Lots of unhappy campers. Sucks!!
  4. Did some more digging. Gallatin C of C has it listed in their calendar of events. Guess it's a go.
  5. I did see that mentioned either in print or TV, but can't find it now. The article in today's Tennessean didn't mention it, so.....maybe true or not. Can't always believe everything in the press, especially early on.
  6. Saw an ad on TV a day or so ago for a show in Gallatin. Anyone know for certain if this is correct. RK doesn't list it on their site..they're the one that usually has it. Cheaper Than Dirt has it listed on their site. Just curious, as I haven't seen it on the papers, etc.
  7. I'll agree. If I hadn't just bought a new Frankford kit about a year ago, I'd go with the tumbler/SS route. Can't justify changing at this point. The SS setup does an awesome job tho. I seen new brass that didn't look that good.
  8. Sights on the XD/XDm are extremely tight. Most sight pushers won't do the job. As others stated, banging with hammer & punch can damage tritium sights. I bought my Xdm at The Armory in Lebanon. It had standard sights, I had Trijicons installed on it. Matt installed them with a pusher he said cost $300 bucks. Anyway it worked.
  9. Totally agree. I got there around 10AM, cars backed up into the street. Had no idea this was going on. Total of $13 to get into this little show is way over the top. Had a discussion with Goodmans rep. inside. Told him they need to just find another location. He said they had dates thru another year or so. Obviously an attempt by Dean to run business away, then, as another poster stated, he will say, I told you it's not working. Sucks, big time. Just not worth the cost. $8 is too high regardless.
  10. I've heard all zoo animals are Liberals.
  11. Hear ya. 1250 tables is a whole different matter. I would ante up a bit for that. Shows around here have about as many tables as a family picnic. Enjoy.....
  12. Just a little warning. If you're planning on attending the Goodman show at the Nashville fairgrounds, be prepared to pay $5.00 to park, plus the $8.00 admission fee. Went there this AM, traffic backed up in the street waiting to get in. This was around 10AM. Not a lot of cars there. Building not full, dealer wise. Another one of Mayor Dean's tactics to drive business out of the fairgrounds so he can get his way to turn this property over to developers for other purposes. If I lived in Nashville, Dean would not get my vote. Won't be going back until the parking fee goes away. $13.00 to see a Goodman show is way over the top. JMHO
  13. Since I started carrying, I've made Wally World, McD's, Burger King, Cracker Barrel, went into a liquor store a few days ago, etc. Hey, it's legal if it isn't posted otherwise. Don't sweat it, just go on about your business.
  14. FWIW, newsstand price has gone up from $.75 / daily, to $1.00. Sunday, from $1.75 to $2.00. Subscription per month, from $17.00 to $31.00. The size of the paper wouldn't last 3 days in an outdoor toilet. Yeah, I remember that. LOL
  15. I used to shoot AA a lot when I had a 9mm. Never had an issue. Like kwe45919 said, bad primers happen on occasion. Had one with a WW in 30-06. Only time in 40+ yrs. I ever had that happen, factory or reloads.
  16. Bill Goodmans show is at the Nashville fairgrounds this weekend, Jul. 16 / 17.
  17. Agreed. I've used Rem. Core Lok & Sierra Game King, 150/165 for years without a complaint from a deer. Unless I run across a premium deer, I'll stick with it.

Yesterday, I couldn't log on. OK today, but still a bit slow.
  19. Anybody tried this in a vibrating cleaner?
  20. I had one back about the same time frame. Great gun. It was called the Pistol Pack Series. 2,4,6,8" barrels/shrouds. Best I recall, I gave $300 + at that time. Likely worth more today. Traded it for a 44mag, same setup. Shoulda kept the 357. Better shooter. Very accurate. I could pop bottles & cans with that thing floating down the creek. Haven't been able to pull that off since. If I hadn't just bought two guns, we'd talk. LOL Reached the wife's limit for awhile ( and the budget). Good luck to ya.
  21. Hey, all us guys/gals on TGO are rich anyway, so why does it matter. OK, maybe not!!
  22. So, what does this do that the 100s' of other gun oils on the market, not do?
  23. Agreed, I had a DW 357 w/ 8" HV barrel. Great shooting gun, very accurate. Should have kept it. Traded for a DW 44 mag to hunt with...got stolen. If you can find one at that price, better grab it. Don't think you'll be sorry. JMHO
  24. Monday, I ordered a Taurus PT709B Slim 9mm, and a Crossbreed Supertuck to carry it. Gun should be in next week, holster, 4-6 weeks. The waiting game begins. My wife & I both like this gun, It fits her well, and I intend to carry IWB until she gets her permit. Then I'll lose possession of the gun no doubt. One of my fellow deputies has his FFL now & I got it from him at a great price.
  25. Happens to me all the time.....and that's usually a good thing.
