Amen! And if, God forbid, that time comes for one of us to have to defend and protect (I see those words on lots of police cars by the way. Not on ATF vehicles) my family, I’d much rather reach for a firearm than a ball bat. I believe it was Colt that settled the Wild West, by making the weak stronger, not Louisville Slugger.

What you are saying is true, but my point was that defunding police and defunding the ATF are two separate animals. I think the topic to a post was that conservatives were against defunding police but now, they are for defunding the ATF which was the same thing. It’s not at all. Police protect and serve our communities from criminals, thieves and those that want to do harm to law abiding citizens. The ATF is the hammer used to enforce alcohol, tobacco and firearms laws and regulations of the feds. Maybe I’m wrong but totally different in my mind.

Going back to your earlier point, many sheriffs in many counties across the country have publically said they would NOT be a part of enforcing gun confiscation nor any un-constitutional laws illegally passed and actually many states, mostly conservative ones, have passed 2nd amendment sanctuary laws. I think the ATF will be the enforcing agency to abolish gun rights if it gets that far and confiscation on the federal level. The ATF and defunding police is not even remotely the same thing.

They will be the front line weapon to disarming America.

They are not hiding their intentions. That’s what so strange to me. It kinda makes me think of that movie Left Behind. It’s like these people aren’t hearing what I’m hearing.....

Biden’s dementia riddled brain don’t care what gun owners think. But then no Democrat mind in power does. They hate two things vehemently. Guns and the Bible. Obama showed us that in his “they cling to their guns and Bible “ rant and the Democrats show us in their actions and silence anytime Christian are attacked, or not allowed to go to church. But Biden? The man has dementia like I said. 30 years ago he would not have been allowed to run. Now he’s gonna have the famous “Nuclear Codes”? Amazing. Besides, Soros is the Democrat demigod and runs the show. After stealing Georgia senate races, the gun control hammer is going to fall. And like Schumer said, “then we’re going to fundamentally change America.” The words Fundamental Change should scare the hell out of every American. Strangely, I don’t see that happening. Maybe they just don’t realize what it means, or just don’t care. Like I said. Strange, very strange.

I wonder what the odds are that this has mutated into something more fierce and potent and possible, God forbid, resistant to the new vaccines?

“With 2 magazines” is the catchphrase that always got me. Just IMAGINE.....I’d tell myself...A 12ga semi-auto with a magazine.....better yet with 10 magazines!! Loaded and ready for anything like holding off a gaggle of bears....or whatever a herd of bears is called. I drooled over these for 3 years or more every time I went to my local Academy store. I wasn’t able to get one at the time but I sure wanted one. The Saiga is just out of my financial reach, but the JTS was getting close. Now, I don’t think Academy sells them anymore. Maybe they just can’t get them right now, I don’t know. Then I just today found this website..!! I don’t remember this website being online back then, though it might have been. It seems like they have moved up in the world and are available at BPS and other places, even from their website. Through a local FFL. Maybe soon I’ll have one of these in the closet by the front door.....just in case that sleuth of bears tries to break in. Having been in the hospital one week ago yesterday I will say they are being very vigilant. NO one goes in without a temp check, answering questions and so on. A green medical mask is required for entry. No cotton, handkerchief, scarf, Gucci, designer type masks at all are allowed. Oh, and only one person can enter with the patient. And no children.

That’s how it went in Australia I think and that’s the model the democrats have voiced many times as the one they want here. That will get them all registered, then they’ll want them all like Feinstein said several years ago. Something along the line of this: “If I could, I’d take them all. Mr. and Mrs America turn them in. Turn them all in....”

Thank you for the thread. It is needed and I’m praying daily during this time of great need for healing and comfort to those that have contracted this virus, those who have loved ones with with it and those that have lost loved ones.

I’ll have to try the f2 instead of f8. I have a usb boot disk. I’ll see if I can change it to boot from usb.

I really don’t need to save any files. I’ve got backup copies of my personal files on my external HD. A clean install would be perfect for my needs.

I sure know a lot more than I did a few days ago. I appreciate all the help and the information. I’m getting a little better everyday from the knee surgery and I’m going to get in my back room and see what happens. I do have it running with the CHKDSK /r right now and it’s been running an hour or so.

I used to really enjoy shooting these black powder revolvers. I had one I had made from a kit. There wasn’t much to it really, just assemble and finish the grips, but it was a lot of fun. Like gregintenn said, cleaning was pretty tough. I found it was easier to have a big pot especially for cleaning full of boiling water, put the pistol in and then spray it down with WD-40.

I may be heading that direction and thanks for the info. The SSD drives on the Dell site are not expensive at all. I’ve got an old HP laptop that will probably let me get the downloads to a flash drive. I do have a complete backup on an external drive that I made before it completely quit on my. So files wouldn’t be an issue. I’d just like to get it going again.
