I have a 2018 F-150 and I just use the dealer since it’s as cheap as anyone else and close by. I also like the added things they do with “The Works” package and they use ford oil which I think is a sythetic blend and if anything happens, it’s on them. I’ve assumed that might be because of the twin turbos the 2.7L has. The wife drives a 2017 GMC Terrain with a 4 banger. She usually does the oil changes herself at a place she’s used for years and they use Havoline SAE 5W30. Today I was going to get it done locally at a Valvoline quick change. They, including the manager, told me I need to be using full synthetic like GMC specifies in all their engines since 2012 or risk severe engine damage. The difference in price is $39 vs $89 +tax for a 5 qt oil change. I asked “so what you’re telling me is your conventional oil sucks and doesn’t meet manufacturers specs...right?” He backtracked and said “oh no....our conventional oil exceeds manufacturers specs...blah blah blah...” I said, “That’s not at all what your telling me. You said if I don’t use full synthetic, I’m going to ruin my engine...”. Anyway, I took it to the other place and all is good. $50 bucks more for an oil change with the only difference being synthetic over conventional is rape in my opinion. What do y’all think?

What I don’t understand is this. How does having “2 or 3 democrats that won’t go along with gun control” out of 435 voting members in Congress with a democrat majority and 100 voting members in the Senate with a democrat majority (counting “chuckles” Harris’ tie breaking vote) could even remotely give a gun owner a warm fuzzy that the Dems won’t pass these gun laws in the next 4 years. Or won’t pack the court. Or won’t change voting laws to eliminate any and all competition and destroying the checks and balances that have worked for over 200 years......

I’m good Dirtshooter, it’s just that the first part was the qualifying part of the second part....anyway, if you believe a 2 party system is the biggest problem, what would be the fix? Surely you don’t want a 1 party system, even though I do believe that’s where we are after the last elections with first time ever illegal voting changes that happened in swing states. In addition, the democrats are planning changes that will forever keep them in power. Mass mail in voting is nothing short of fraudulent voting. All the dems here can say what they want but even the democrat party said this just a few years ago. Anyone that can’t see that just doesn’t want to or they agree with it. One more thing, it’s very common for folks to believe major events are not going to happen in their lifetime whether its socialist/communist takeover or the return of Jesus Christ. Either one can drastically change a persons life.

It does look that way for sure sometimes. But at least they’re not trying to destroy freedom and the USA from every angle imaginable like the Democrats are.

I seem to remember back maybe 30 years ago when certain types of Ammo purchases, handgun maybe, required some type of records. Recorded at the time of purchase. I could be wrong. I think 22’s were exempt. Anyone else remember that?

I’ve lived in a rural house with only well water for 2 years now. It’s great tasting water. It’s hard for me to drink water down in the valley anymore. Even in restaurants I can literally smell the chlorine now since I’m so used to pure water. It’s crystal clear and pretty darn cold out of the faucet.

Weber Genesis! I was in the same boat a couple years ago and bought a Weber. It’s the best gas grill I’ve ever had. If it flares up, it needs cleaning.

I’m 68 years old and worked in loud environments my entire adult life. I have severe hearing loss and without hearing aids I can’t carry on a conversation at all, even in a quiet setting. I have a set now that are 3 years old with a cost of $4000, but I’ve never really been satisfied with them and they seem to get worse at time goes by. SO....I’m asking for input from anyone that uses the new lower cost HA’s with “new technology” what they think of them. I know they all are offering 30+ days returns etc.....but I’d really rather get input from real users that I trust here on TGO and not “paid actors” (yes, they really have that disclaimer) that rattle on during commercials on TV. I appreciate any input anyone has. SORRY FOR THE DOUBLE POST!!

Mark, please let us know how the Star Link works out for you. I have no service for phone or internet and had to resort to Viasat for internet which S-U-C-K-S.....and they know it. They just don’t give a crap. Customer Service sucks just as much or more than the pitiful thing they call a signal. I have Viasat, dish network, and a home phone to be able to have a phone at all if there’s an emergency and these items total over $300 a month.

The words “work from home” conjures up images of head turbans, sand and Nigerian scammers in my mind.
