  1. Parlor is toast and the 1st amendment is right behind I’m sure. Amazon shut them down and kicked them off of their server as of tonight I believe. I wonder how long until forums that don’t fit the democrat ideology will follow? Silencing your opposition is the first step to the end of freedom isn’t it? Biden and the democrats are sure working hard to “bring us all together” aren’t they?......sounds more like a big “OR ELSE” is in there somewhere.
  2. That’s what Obama did and he was slammed for his failure to get more gun control passed. Some even felt that was his biggest failure. I think it will be top priority while they have the country by the curly hairs.
  3. The danger lies in the UN small arms treaty that Trump pulled out of and said it would never happen on his watch....after Obama signed it in what....2013? Get ready for Obama 2.0 folks. Obama did an end around sweep to get his third term. High taxes, high fuel prices when fracking gets chopped which means higher prices on everything moved by truck which is everything we buy.
  4. I thank you for this excellent post. You have made a lot of us here think about and discuss a potentially life altering event that could happen at anytime to anyone of us.
  5. I’ve read and have made the statement myself on this forum more than a few times that the last thing I’d ever want to do is to have to shoot someone. I really feel it would change many things about our/my immediate life and also thereafter. I do carry though, deep concealment always and at other times I carry in other various ways. I carry not to show the world that I have a gun, or to make me a badass in my own mind, but purely to be prepared to defend the life of my wife, myself and any loved ones I am with should a major threat arise to our lives. I think for the statement I started with to be true, It’s my duty to overlook the hotheads, the stupid drivers that cut me off or blow their horn at some short sighted event they perceive I caused in their life. If they take it upon themselves to “teach me a lesson” physically, well then it’s game on.

    Prowler

Yep. If it’ll trip a traffic signal it’ll trip a magnetic alarm sensor I’d think.
  7. The knife thread is almost always the first place I look to see your latest creation. I have 3 of your knives, one a large hunting style that is always with me on a hunt or just a hike in the woods. One of the smaller ones is on my belt often. They are all so much better than the knifes found in stores like BPS, Academy etc....or online stores. Absolutely no comparison. I’ll probably not buy anymore due to my limited income, but I love to look at your creations.
  8. As far as a good picture goes, nowadays, that’s hard to do with the ability to simply put on a black hoodie and sweat pants with the hood up and a mask with sunglasses, a low billed cap.....a pair of gloves even and wala....you have the dressed version of the invisible man. The same thing we see every cold windy day at Wally World. Our everyday lives are very conducive to covert activities by those so a minded.
  9. No. I live in Chattanooga. That sounds like a nice club you have, but I’m generally looking for a skeet range. thanks for the suggestion though. I’m probably going to go check out the one I posted about when I can get around good enough. It’s about 45 minutes north on hwy 111.
  10. I think you meant to quote someone else gregintenn.
  11. I’ve been wanting to find a place to have some shotgun fun. Skeet particularly, but it’s become hard to find a place. This place looks nice and reasonable prices for occasional outings. It’s about an hour from my home. Has anyone been there that might could give a simple review? Thanks.....Randall https://deadzeroshooting.com/
  12. Yeah. We’ve been doomed for a long time. It’s still hard to watch it all come together though.
  13. Yep me too Raoul. I ain’t hearing anything from the Biden Harris or Harris Biden camp, whichever it is. I guess soon it will be put up or shut up time though.
  14. I have a marlin 44magnum that is a hoot to shoot! It’s my deep brush deer rifle. I have a Remington 30-06 that I use for hunting fields and clear cuts on my lease, but the marlin is my favorite to ease through the early morning woods with.
  15. I really don’t understand the thinking in the order of vaccine distribution. If the vaccine was giving to the most vulnerable, that being those most susceptible (regardless of age or race or occupation) of being hospitalized in ICU units or even dying, were given the vaccine first, I’d think this would be the way to get ahead of the disease and lightening the load on the hospitals and the first line workers. Another thing I’m wondering about. Why are we not dispatching the naval hospital ships like before and making mobile hospitals in major cities like we did before when we were utilizing the armed forces? It seems all we hear is the dire position we are in with hospitals ICU’s being full up and no room for more patients. O well.....I guess its time for another round of pain meds and another night of rambling around the house in the semi dark.
  16. I bought mine back in the early 2000’s by placing a very low bid on gunbroker and left immediately to go to a Titans football game in Nashville. I live in Chattanooga and got home late and was tired. I went to be and didn’t even think about the auction until late on Monday evening and saw I’d won. I was going to try my hand at 22 bullseye matches but never did. I sold the 41 and had only shot maybe 1 box of CCI standard rounds.
  17. Those are impressive. I’ve looked at the kel tecs also. They have a 12 round version that would be great for camping and hiking.
  18. The cheapest one. LOL. The M12AK I think it is. Maybe one of these days I’ll get one.
  19. While I agree with the concept, firearms stand in the way of the total control of our lives that the democrats are seeking. Guns are in the way of that and they’ll fight hard to git ‘em gone. That said, anything we can use to make it harder and goes on record as something We The People don’t want and will fight against, has got to be a plus though.
  20. I have one I bought a long time ago. I love it. super accurate, I’ve shot a brick through mine at one sitting more than once with my stepson back when a brick costs 8 bucks at walmart and it was still shooting. A Buckmark and a red dot makes for some fun days at the range!
  21. It was the Gen 3 issue that really bombed for the average truck user. 1999 through 2002 or maybe 2003. The gen 3 models with Cummins engines also had block cracking problems with the engines stamped with a 53, but I escaped that fate. They are in more demand to the race crowd since those engines were the last made with no emissions and was very tunable for high HP and torque. Those guys are mostly super mechanics and handle all the other shortfalls.
  22. Years ago I had a S&W model 41. If my memory is correct, it had a bold statement in the manual that restricted Ammo to standard velocity only to protect the mechanical cartridge ejection parts of the pistol. It had nothing to do with the barrel I don’t think. PS...I’m NOT an expert, but I think the reason for the 41 limit on velocity also had to do with accuracy. If you notice, target ammo, eley is the best I guess, are all made to strict specs in the lower velocity ranges and lay very close to the 1,000 FPS area. This must be the the holy grail for the most accurate velocity for target ammo and manufacturers make the pistols for that sweet spot of velocity.
  23. Surprised by all the thumbs down posts on the fords. I owned Jeep’s, fords, Pontiacs, nissans, mostly fords though in trucks. I owned one Dodge Ram diesel. I bought it new in 2001. I sold it at 140K miles before something else broke that costs me over $1,000 to fix. It cost me $900 to get the heater core replaced, and it destroyed my dash in the process. Front bearings cost $800 since I had to buy the entire hub at $300 for each side plus labor. They didn’t make a bearing set for it. Low pressure fuel pump and high pressure fuel pump costs $3,500 to replace. The evaporator core for the Air conditioner went out and it was going to be another $900 since it was under the dash right next to the heater core. I sold it.
