I got to looking and found this

https://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/products2.cfm/ID/216565

Based upon Mossberg’s proven pump-action platform, standard features of the 590M Shockwave include non-binding twin action bars; positive steel-to-steel lock-up; dual extractors; anodized aluminum receiver drilled and tapped for convenience of adding optics; 15-inch heavy-walled barrel; convenient cleanout magazine tube; and universally- recognized, ambidextrous top-mounted safety. With the included 10-round magazine, these 12-gauge 2.75-inch pump- actions have a total round capacity of 10+1.

Why put an optis on this, yes I know, youtube.

I had the same thought and then I saw a vid a guy on another forum made of him running a Shockwave or a Tac-14 with an RMR on it, from his vehicle. He's not a YT'er type. That particular forum has a lot of solid shooters and trainers on board and several folks post vids to demonstrate concepts and techniques.

While and RMR is a very expensive option imho, it was a pretty decent display of the potential of such a setup. You could obviously tell he's put the work into developing what he demonstrated.

I'll be honest, it wasn't sure where to post this. I have a really good mate, just got back to TN from his deployment to El paso. He's looking to buy a few guns & he doesn't know of any reputable FFLs in his area.

He doesn't want to travel far, so can anyone recommend a good, cheap license holder around Clarksville for transfers?

I am trading into this Savage MKII McRees chassis with Rifle Basix trigger, 8-32x33 20mm Mueller scope.  OK, the eyepiece and sunshade  may have to go, but the package appeals to me.

Anyone have experience with this rifle? Accuracy, best factory loads for deer, and coyote? Pros and cons? I'm really interested in picking one up, but looking for real reviews. Thanks in advance.
