AR-15 Pistol Carry???

Anyone on here know the legalities of this? Seems to me like if you have your HCP, it wouldnt be a problem. Its not like I am considering carrying one, but just something I thought about while I was considering buying one.

Yes technically it is legal to carry an AR15 pistol since it is classified as a pistol.

technically the law says it is perfectly legal. as it is a handgun and covered under the handgun carry permit. but an officer could get you for something like inciting a panic or disturbing the peace or something along those lines. also it may be hard to convince some cops that it is legal.

You cant carry the shotty on a HCP. Plus that is a AOW class 3 weapon, cant carry it. Plus who wants to have their class 3 stuff tied up in court for years and years. Everyone would be better off sticking to pistols and revolvers. Just my .02.

Just talking. Isnt like anyone here ever plans to carry their SBS or ar15 pistol. My xd9 only weighs a pound and a half and it gets heavy. Cant even imagine a 10 lb ar.

I wouldnt mind sticking one in the trunk...for those long journeys to detroit. But if they pass that law where HCP owners can carry long guns it wont matter.
