new member, looking for Nashville-area ranges

Recommended Posts

I'm in Nashville, and need a good place to shoot. I'm a big fan of Guns & Leather, but it's a bit of a drive. I also tried Gun City and did not enjoy it that much. BTW, I carry a Sig P239/9mm. Also in the growing family: Remington 700 30/06 (deer), Benelli M2 (turkey), Marlin model 80G .22 rifle (cans), Beretta AL 390 Gold 12 ga., L.C. Smith side-by-side 16 ga. (for sale). Thanks !

Additional question - can you carry in Shelby Park?

Welcome!

The only place I've been that'a'way was in Murfreesboro... On-Target. I keep going back.

Chances are you'll see one of us there. Picture a guy who looks like a cross between Freddie Prinze Jr. and Leonardo DeCaprio (and I doubt either of 'em would object to that)... that's me, only hetero.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely go back to Stone's River. The damage:

SHREC is good but sometimes the whole hot/cold thing can get annoying. OnTarget is nice as well, but I agree with what somebody else posted - Guns and Leather has the nicest indoor range that I have been to. Bummer that I live so far from G&L.

Cheatham county has a bare bones kind of range. Montgomery County Shooting Complex south of Clarksville has a pistol range, 100 & 400 yd rifle range, archery range, and trap & skeet ranges under construction. Will have an indoor range prolly next year.
