CC people, do you ever OC?

Recommended Posts

Almost never - but had to wear a tie & dress up for work the other day, no jacket, on the way home had some errands to do so open carried as an experiment either no one noticed, or seemed to care at the cell phone store, or any of the other places that I went.

Typically I would prefer the bad guy not to know that I was packing til he was perforated!

I tend to keep concealed. Maybe if I'm at a place where I know I won't freak people out by being "the guy with a gun." I'll OC if I'm visiting a friend in East Nashville...but that's mainly because I'll want to be able to get to it quickly in that neck of the woods...crime out there had gotten so back that I understand a lot of people have HCPs in that area.

CC only. Don't even own an OC holster though I need to get one for my USP since it's a full size and probably too big to conceal without winter clothing anyway. I also prefer to be sneaky with my firearms.

I do OC at times. I live close to VA so it is sometimes better to OC in certain places. I usually OC when I walk the dogs if it's hot and when I do field inspections of empty buildings.

You have to be careful about people from Va. Especially those Scottites. :D

Picked up a Blackhawk Serpa lvl II retention at Academy Sports & Outdoors earlier this week as I have a trip to Wisconsin soon. I walked oc to Sonic in Gallatin with family & friends that evening, and tonight oc'd to church to pick up the kiddos. Wife of a HCP friend saw me and said she wished more people would do that!

Got the HCP a few months ago using a SmartCarry, now a neophyte oc'er. I'm going downhill fast.

I sometimes strap on the thigh rig when I go on an overnight ride. Other than that it's just whatever is more comfortable, or more appropriate for where I am going. Didn't carry much for a while either way though... have no preference really.

Who's this guy:D

How you doing?

I only use a thigh rig when going to an Obama rally.
