I am a retired corrections officer from CT. been in the White House area 2 Months. I am looking for a good gunsmith that works on high end 1911's thanks for any info !!!!!

Welcome,

Complete Gun Shop works on 1911's, but I do not know anything about him, only his name is Sam. He is the only gunsmith in the area that I know about. I do know he is a huge 1911 fan. His shop is located in Gallatin and his # is 206-0075.

Welcoem to TGO! I am also in Corrections!

I think he meant he worked there, not that he was an inmate.

jes kidding, big guy!

Hi,

In answer to the OP, Price Nimmo (Nimmo Custom Arms) is a dedicated 1911 pistol smith who has built some really nice guns. He is a practicing attorney, but dont let that stop you.

Otherwise, John Robinson (JMR Gunsmithing in Brush Creek) is an excellent 1911 smith (and all around great guy, if a bit on the crusty side).
