New arrival from OH

Hello everyone. I go by my initials A.O.

I am brand new to Tennessee. I joined up to lurk when I thought a transfer down here might be coming, but just made the move from Dayton, OH to Nashville this afternoon.

If I understand correctly, with my Ohio CHL I can get a TN permit at the renewal rate.

I promised myself I would try IDPA this year. Could you ranges in the Nashville area that host IDPA or similar matches?

Hopefully there is a gettogether coming up where I can meet some fellow shooters.

Welcome to the Forum, I grew up in Fairborn if you know where that is, yes you can transfer your permit for the renewal rate at least that was the case the last i checked, Welcome to Tennessee trust me it beats the crap out of Ohio

There are indeed ranges and clubs that host IDPA and USPSA around here. Check the shooting sports forum here on TGO for more info.

Welcome. You're actually sandwiched nicely between two places to shoot IDPA. One in Dickson and one in Gallatin. There may be one or two of which I am currently unaware as well.

Both groups shoot at the same location but different sections of the property on different weekends.

Welcome to TGO! I lived and worked all around Dayton from about 78 to 94 then came back to TN. Actually lived about a mile from MVSG on Rip Rap across from McNasty's. Worked in about every tool and die shop in the area. You'll like it here.
