They are out. Great guns. I love mine!

Is it picky on the type of ammo it likes?

I was wondering how the weight and feel compares to a normal centerfire M&P. Do you own one to give a comparison? Such as, can you tell it's a 22 before you shoot it or just think it's a normal M&P? I'm thinking it would a great training aid for us M&P owners.

I seen something late last year on it and forgot about it. Curious to what the trigger pull will be. Hope it's not like the sig mos.

I'm waiting for the 8 shot sp101 !

Trigger pull is like any other stock AR. You can put a Geissele or Timney in it if you wish. It takes any standard AR trigger.

Thanks Dave, I guess I should have done that to keep down the confusion since it looks like some aren't using the link.

From the little info I've found, it looks like Walther is making it for S&W but not sure if that is correct, or why Walter is making it. I know they have quite a bit of experience with 22LR autopistols but "made in the USA" is what sealed the deal when I was looking at the M&P40.

I think I’ll pass. I just looked on the S&W forum and according to them it’s made by Umarex.

Umarex makes junk. Remember the Colt AR22?

This would be cool if S&W made it. I’m disappointed in Smith & Wesson if its true they are having a cheesy version of the M&P made.
