My wife's Glock 19 has TruGlo TFOs, which have a reputation for being fragile. She has shot quite a few IDPA matches with them, and they've held up pretty well. In fact, last year, she shot a stage which involved shooting multiple targets through 8" PVC pipes. She shoved the gun just slightly into the pipes, and every time she fired, her front sight bashed into the PVC. Everyone winced with each shot, but the front sight was still firmly attached. I've been very impressed with the TFOs.

While I can't vouch for using them on any handguns, I can attest to their durability and high-visibility on a shotgun. If their product line for sidearms is as good as that for their longarms, I wouldn't have any reservations about using them. :nervous:

Anyone have direct experience with both the truglos and XS? I currenly have Dawson precisons, which are far better than the stock sights on my XD9, but still not what I want (hard to see both my target and the front sight). Age issues....

Thanks
