So I broke down and bought a Ed Brown Executive Elite. I have to agree with the old saying you get what you pay for.

I you have the best equipment you can buy there is enjoyment in the use and ownership. You will never regret the cost or investment.

EB builds good guns. I opted and was lucky enough to find a local gunsmith to customize my 1911s and ARs to my taste and got rid of my other semi customs.

Having friends that make custom knives and custom guns is right on up there with having a custom Taylor.

Would love to have an EB engraved 1911 though.

Enjoy your pistol and shoot it often.
