Forget the may apples. Poisonous if you eat enough, whole plant is toxic, and even small doses act as an emetic [i]and[/i] cathartic, so spewing from both ends is not a good survival strategy either. :)

I guess I've never eaten "enough" of them to get sick. My mother made May Apple jelly every spring. Much like the passion fruit, really only collecting the nectar around the seeds.

I am a bit behind here.  Would like to get a bit more info on the Oyster Mushrooms.  One website I found said the gils should go straight and form into the stem.  Anyone got any suggestions for them.  Also, how many or how little should I eat to determine if they are safe?  before i give to the family.

My suggestion would be to have a car idling with designated driver if you're the least bit unsure about any of it!
