Tennessee: Firearms Freedom Act and suggested gun / Magazine bans in washington

Recommended Posts

Just a hypothetical Question :

If The Federal government were to pass some draconian fienstein type of law Would Tennessee's Firearms freedom act basically block the law

from having any effect on us as long as our Firearms don't leave the state?

the bill states that “federal laws and regulations do not apply to personal firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition that is manufactured in Tennessee and remains in Tennessee. The limitation on federal law and regulation stated in this bill applies to a firearm, a firearm accessory, or ammunition that is manufactured using basic materials and that can be manufactured without the inclusion of any significant parts imported into this state.

It hasn’t been tested, but the guns would have to be made here, not just kept here.

The BATF has already said they do not recognize the TFFA or any others.

We can’t find a buyer and a seller with an FFL that isn’t doing anything for the next 10 years to test what they would do.

Do you have a non-stamp full auto, SBR, AOW, etc. made in TN?

If so, you could test it right now by taking it down to the local BATF office and showing it to them!

LOL no  but say you bought a barret from barrett made in tn. then it was banned federally but seeing as it has never left the state it seems that gun would be covered I did see that the firearms freedom act excludes fully auto so Im mearly talking about what is legal now that could possibly be banned in the future

Unless you bought it from Barrett how do you know it never crossed state lines? (Distributor)

They will have firearms experts working with them (all firearms experts are not the good guys) and they will cover all bases with the legislation. We are all only speculating on what is going to pass based on what we know some of the legislation is (because it’s been submitted before).
