Some of the things I saw online and on some social media sites after this happened were truly disgusting. Along the same lines and some even a little more disgusting. People that think like this are twisted and have shown they are willing to exploit any tragedy, and use any coffin as a soap box, in order to push their agenda. They are truly shameless and disgusting wastes of oxygen.

I sent this to the newspaper:

I just wanted to let you know that I do not approve of cartoon drawn by cartoonist Lee Judge and published by Kansas City Star . In a time when we should be suporting our troops Mr Judge has done just the opposite. He has used the tragic death of a true American hero to try to make a political statement. It is heros like Chris Kyle that ensures we have a free press and without men like him the First Ammendment would be the first right lost. It was done in extremely poor taste and without regard to the Kyle family's recent loss.

Whether you are for or against gun control using a fallen hero to make a statement is in poor taste.
Because of my strong feelings regarding this I will not do any business with your company or any company that advertises with you. It is your advertisers that support Kansas City Star in publishing items like this. Without your advertiser's support, read dollars, you would not be able to publish such a tactless cartoon. I will also be contacting every single advertiser on your site and telling them I will not be needing their services as long as they advertise with the Star.

If you want to change how I feel ensure Mr Judge never publishes anything in your paper every again. If you end his affiliation with the Kansas City Star I might reconsider my opinion but until that time I am done supporting your news organization and the advertisers that support you.

And in a time when every penny counts I hope you take this seriously. Because I do as well as my friends and family.

"Lee Judge deserves to be gang raped,set on fire,and extinguished with gasoline.The same way the iraqi insurgents did to a few of our guys down range. Karmas a bitch"

Wow! You took a reasonable letter and added that? They will not give yours a second thought because of what you added. And now my letter will likely be viewed negatively because it was what you used to lead into your diatribe. You made yourself sound way off your rocker by advocating rape and being burned. Then the reference to those Americans who were killed overseas took it over the top.

 

We need to think before we send an email. Glad this wasn't a gun issue because it would played right into the antis hands and they would have pointed and said "I told you they were all crazy".

Dolomite you penned an awesome letter but Sure,why not,Realistically, they probably wont read it anyhow,but its a good vent...Judge made himself this weeks poster child for bad karma.Im sure the kyle family just loved that cartoon,if they saw it. Im sure the families of the 2 blackwater guys that got torched while alive just loved the photos of them hanging from a bridge rail.I saw that. I have horrible sarcasm but the guy publicly demeaned a respected member of the sf community that believed in giving back to his family,and others...Bad enough a motorcycle club has to escort and protect fallen troops on their last journey to their graves; from a certain group of angry churchgoers...

i guess if i really wanted i could redact my unfriendly sarcastic comment and silently pray that judge will render an apology to the kyle family.........Knowing a little about media,that wont happen.He wanted to get a pop out of a cartoon and he got it.His subject matter was of very poor choice. imho, if it was meant to desecrate the honor of chris kyle,ill stick to my opinion, judge can deal w the masses.....or the BS of looking for a job.....

in 1973 i started reading a paper daily no matter where i was at.  even overseas i got the atlanta paper mailed to me.  back then the paper was the only way to get any news, not like it is now.  about one year ago i stopped.  got fed up with the crap.  no news, just one sided left wing crap.   nothing for me.  they don't care about anything but their left wing crap.  when they run out of money the government will step in and give them some just a long as they print this left wing crap.
