The pending hunting season...

Recommended Posts

Well, I've got my Remmy 700, some camo gear I bought from about 2 years ago, going to take my hunters safety course the week after next, all I need is my big game license and my gloves, then I'll be set(I think). Is there anything I'm missing besides a little luck?

A good place to hunt...

Good luck this year!

That one have covered sir! Going in with some buds on a one year 200 acre lease, cost is $200. Does that sound over priced?

I pay a little over $2 an acre on a lease in Hickman County.  1300 acres and about 13 or 14 of us on it if that gives you any idea.  I would load up on scent-killer Gold, scout the property, hang some stands and put out some trail cameras ASAP.

Sounds about right. Have you some rules in writing about your lease, even with "buddies". Stuff like this could make or break a friendship.

Like what?

Who is allowed to hunt where on the lease, what you are allowed to hunt on the lease, are you allowed a guess, what deer size limits ect., ect.. These are all the things that need to be worked out ahead of time. I got in on a small lease with a few friends and the things I mention ruined friendships and hunts. I'll explain after bit.
