Getting impatient.

Recommended Posts

Went ahead and mailed it yesterday, I called and they said a new photo wouldn't be on my DL if I took a new one for my HCP. I wish they would combine your DL and HCP and have them renewed at the same time. Of course not everybody who has a HCP drives so they would be issued a seperate HCP.

I'm assuming that your photo HCP is an official ID that can be used to vote.

ID to vote?

Yes, it should be valid, but don't be surprised if you get questions about it.

See now, somebody who can't or doesn't drive might still have a HCP which might be the only state issued photo ID they have. If they have questions it's a good opportunity to educate a poll worker. No, I do not have my handgun on me in the building but I do have it locked in my vehicle which is legal now in Tennessee weather it's city, state, or school property.

When I voted the other day, the building was not posted. It wasn't on gov't land though.

No statute against it. Many polls on actual election day are in schools, though. No prob where I vote early.

I voted inside the Pegram City Hall/Fire Dept. building, there are no signs there but I bet if I asked they would say it's off limits.
