I'd like to point out that I ran all over Paducah getting the tools AND I'm the one that picked the pumpkin. *bow*

lmao

Seriously though... amazing pumpkin. I knew it'd turn out amazing, but I didn't know how amazing it'd end up looking. Damn you and your pumpkin carving skillz!

nice man, real nice. I should have kept my mouth shut about the tools =)

Thanks. Another tip, that my brother gave, is to coat the interior and carved portions of the pumpkin with PAM cooking spray (or similar). Will help keep it fresh longer. Can also use vaseline but that doesn't really dry or get absorbed, so it stays kinda nasty.

I guess my tip contribution is the light source I used for the "night shot". A hand held mechanics light. Helps eliminate any cold spots that a candle, glow stick, etc might create from not illuminating fully.

Guess all these tips are kinda late in the game, but it's food for thought looking towards next season.

if you look at the first pic (on the gas burner) and the second pic, you coulda told people that the key to good light was to open up the bottom of the pumpkin and use a 12k BTU burner set on 2.........those pics woulda been funny

If I wasn't held up in a hotel room for the past 3 weeks I had a kick ass idea.....but I can save my creativeness for the 12 days of TGO christmas *nudge nudge*

hard to follow that Verbal...

Thanks.

In all honesty, I kinda messed it up on the tower/neck. You can notice that I cut out one too many spots out (lower left leg of the tower), which caused a divot in the neck line. Guess it's not that big of a deal, but stuff like that eats away at me and bugs me. Was tempted to glue a piece back in that spot, but was just too tired to care at that point. Sitting, bent over, on the kitchen floor for a couple hours = t3h sux0r.

He's not even remotely kidding on that. It'll bug him for a while. lol I wouldn't be surprised to wake up in the morning and find him trying to get a make-shift piece to fill in the hole... or cutting a hole under it to even it out a bit more.
