be careful with the black friday add at dicks. usually it says buy a box of ammo get a box 50% off. its a con! even with one box at 50% off you are still paying more than the regular wal-mart price.

i got screwed on this deal once and i swore to myself i would inform others about it.

a few years ago dicks did have a good deal on shot shells but that's long gone!

I don't know why I fell for that coupon trick again. Everytime I go there I just stand there and think "is this a joke?".

The only 223 they had when I got there was $22+ for 20 rounds. They had 0 12 ga. slugs or buckshot.

I think I finally learned and won't fall for it again.

they didnt do that for everyone/everytime.

I used the coupon out of the paper twice and got 50% off both times. A friend printed an on-line coupon and got 50% off second box. Closer inspection showed different UPC #'s on the 2 coupons. My guess is they forgot to program both numbers into their system.

Didn't even bother to check this time. It's such a pitiful excuse of a gun/fishing dept. I don't even want to go back.:ugh::up:

Hehe...they were out of slugs in knoxville because me and the girlfriend kept going back in buying them...they were out of buckshot before I could get there. lol. $4.99 for 5 slugs and the 2nd box at $2.49 is a pretty good deal  I also picked up a 12gauge Stoeger P350 at a killer price(it was the last one they had). Their handgun ammo as already stated though was no deal. Earlier this month when they had the 50% off they actually marked down the .45 and .40 ammo to $14.99 and it was a good deal.
