Malls

What malls in your area would you not want to be caught dead not carrying in. In other words what malls are not the safest place to find oneself?

Knoxville Center Mall. Haven't been in West Town in years but I assume its not gotten much better. If Oak Ridge still had a mall I wouldn't go in there without carrying. Not that I go to malls anyway.

I generally don't go to malls either. The only one in my area is Old Hickory Mall in Jackson. I wouldn't be caught carrying there, but I wouldn't be caught not carrying in general.

I try to avoid the malls, but Hamilton Place would be my choice.

Hickory Hollow and Rivergate! They are products of their locations. It's a shame.

I have been to all the malls in Knoxville and Memphis, and didn't feel too cozy at any of them after dark. Same for Rivergate mall, where I work. It's a real shame that mall owners don't think the citizens that provide the labor for their malls should be able to defend themselves. Just today at work there was some idiot running with an armful of clothes and belts from the Spenser's store, and right behind him was an employee from the store. Sure would have sucked if the idiot stealing ugly clothes had brought a gun!

I'm not a mall guy but I make a trip each year to Hamilton Place on Christmas Eve to walk around and people watch.It's posted so I won't carry.

Ain't posted if you enter through any of the anchor stores. That would be my story and I'd stick to it.

Same thing with Governors Square Mall go through anchor stores they are not posted. In fact I'm heading there today.

Yeah - now I avoid Southland, Southbrook, Oak Court in Memphis like the plague. When I was an HVAC service technician, unfortunately I had to frequent all of these at one time or another for maintenance/service calls - but nobody ever checked my toolbag for "unusual tools;)". Southaven's "mall" is okay - it's an outdoor mall with separate entrances for all of the stores.

I hate malls.

You never know when a hijacked armored truck is going to crash in through the entrance.

I carry pretty much everywhere I go anymore.

But one thing. If I feel I HAVE TO carry to go someplace, I don't go there.

There is not any place outside of home and work I feel I have to go to.
