Seeing hows Remington bought out Para, I expect to see more branching out of their 1911 line.

Will it actually work? I think not. I think I would trust Hillary more than Remington's QC (if this is produced in house and not by another member of the Freedom Group or whatever it's now called).

I have a standard  R1 I bought 6 years ago.  Have taken several classes with it and shot it a great deal.  Has been trouble free and reliable.

From what I have seen, the Remington 1911s have been the only bright spot in the terrible titan that is Freedom Group.  Every one I have handled has been well built and imho, a great value.  I expect this would be as well.

 

Now, the re-re-released R1... YUCK!

My R1 has been pretty good as long as I don't use the mags that came with it.
