If that is what you want then go for it. While I love the 1911 platform there are a few issues for concealed carry: Size: too big for concealment. The shorter 3" versions seem less reliable (tried a Kimber 1911 45 in 3"). Much more difficult to disassemble as well. Weight, it makes your pants want to sag. Single action with light trigger. I feel safer with a Glock than a 1911 on my belt. If you do get a 1911 try and find a holster with a leather strap which prevents the hammer from falling while in holster. Traditionalists will argue this point, but it is based on my experience. My preferred choice is a 2" snub nose revolver. However, unless you man up to a .357 the power of a .38, even in +P, is marginal nowadays

Safety Reminder for Buyers and Sellers This is an automatic reply meant to protect you as a buyer and a seller on TGO. Use the Buyer/Seller Feedback feature to research who you are dealing with. Please come back and leave feedback for each other after the transaction is complete. Your experience will help others. Never agree to use an electronic form of payment to buy or sell a gun! None of the electronic payment services will protect you against fraud in a firearms transaction. They all have terms of service FORBIDDING the use of their services to buy/sell guns. DON'T DO IT. Be very wary of anyone who insists on brokering a deal in private or outside of TGO. Scammers almost always prefer to operate out of the public eye. Cleaning out my safe and this one is really too long to start with. Modified choke, Nickel Steel Barrel (30") Take down model with no disconnector. That means you can hold the trigger back and pump out rounds as fast as a semi-auto Fine old shotgun. Needs to have the bluing touched up. Mt. Juliet Area

For fly fishing in East Tennessee, I’d recommend the Watauga River. There’s great public access near Elizabethton, and the fish are active year-round thanks to cold tailwater flows. Easy wading and perfect for new anglers.

This one is coming up THIS WEEKEND!!!! And just a final reminder EVERYONE is welcome ! The TN/GA/AL Training Group started as a way for alumni of classes taught by Randy Harris to get together and stay current on skills and get some coaching in a one day format at a discounted price from what a normal class would cost. As it continued to grow we opened it up to ANYONE who is interested in coming out and learning some skills and just seeing what it is that we do and meet some new people with the same interests. So even if you are not an alum of one of my classes you are welcome to come join us!

I spent the morning on the phone locating my pills. Had to drive to the Germantown office for the chemo drug. Southaven office for another and my Horn Lake drugstore for one more. Start this morning as soon as I figure what I want to eat. Most likely will be sick so thinking about what I want to lose a bit later.

You can't delete a thread once started. You're doing the right thing, though, by changing the header, and the words in the opening post period if we just let it go, it'll fall into the abyss of unread threads.

Changed my mind about drilling, didn't want the holes off center. Stopped by a machine shop with the bearing block and collar. They would need the 14mm drill bit I have ordered for the job. They want $60 for their work. I called Forester, special order over the phone for the bearing and added the collar, along with shipping $35. Got them ordered and canceled the drill bit order. Got the tire tread gauge yesterday to measure depth of the primer pockets, it's in MM, 2 pocket's centers 4mm, must be the few that the rifle primers were below the head. Guessing with this bedside lamp most are 3.8, must be the ones that the primers were flush with head. About 10 are 3.6, must be the ones I had to reprime with pistol primers. After trimming they will be drilled a bit deeper to 3.8mm.
