Glad you found a gun that works for you. I am not a fan of open carry or of cross-draw holsters. It's you choice though.

Ok, I can't let this slip by w/o a 'kudos comment. For Self-D, or in a high-stress dynamic moment in general: those DA/SA's you mention are brilliant. I grew up using Smith's Mod 19 wheel guns, then to the 40 via Berretta, then the USP., late 90's. My EDC is USP 40 Compact. Many thousand rds thru it. "Fits me", like my old 19, but with 13x available. IMHO, any DA/SA rocks. Protected me from close quarter friendly fire, beyond doubt.

Went and shot a few different models, including the Canik TP9 Elite SF, CZ P10c, and the Ruger RXM in an attempt to further narrow down my choice for a carry firearm. A purchase was made online yesterday for a CZ P10c. That pistol not only felt better to me, but it was almost effortless to fire follow-up shots. Now begins the task of finding the best holster to use in an open carry cross draw role. I have to admit this is quite the adventure, and I'm having fun piecing everything together!

I once used Rem Oil to lube all my pistols. Got away from it and been using CLP to lube them now. I want to ask you guys, what do you all think of Rem Oil brand for lube. It is graphite based and dries after contact leaving a film of graphite to reduce friction and make metal slide easier. I really liked it because of no mess after lubing. The reason I am asking is I cleaned and lubed one of my MP 9 C pistols and went to get it last week to practice. When I picked it up the lube had run out on the outside of the downed portion of the pistol. I really don't like that. Had to go get a rag and wipe excess CLP from the pistol. The Rem Oil never did that. Thinking of going back to REM Oil. I really don't like to disassemble every time and pinpoint lube but like to spray and walk sometimes. Your thoughts on Rem Oil as lube?
