  1. Anyone know where to buy male and female extension cord ends that will fit a 3/4" OD cable?  No one carries anything local.  Lowe's and Home Depot either.   I've googled and I can't find squat.  Even the overpriced RV suppliers don't show anything with a standard wall socket type plug.       I have 50ft of (3) wire extra heavy duty insulated wire.  I wanna make a cable for my generator.  I need three male plugs and one female.  I want to use a short piece as a jumper with two male ends so I can shut off the breaker to a complete circuit and then plug the generator into a wall socket, thereby powering everything on that entire circuit breaker.   If ya'll try this SHUT OFF THE BREAKER FIRST!!!!  If the power comes back on and the generator is feeding current in, you can kiss the generator goodbye and may be looking a nice fire too.       Thanks
  2. I'm hoping the writers pull a Shyamalan and next season opens with EVERYONE getting their head bashed in.  Despite his comments to the contrary, Negan could always 'Change his mind'.     LOL!!!
  3. Not sure what you're paying for the scrap, but by the time you smelt it (counting time and propane) the add the cost of tin and/or any other add-ons to make a good usable alloy, you can get it from Rotometals for very little (if any) more and have a KNOWN alloy of superior quality.
  4.       What's to talk about?  The finale was a complete waste of time.  I coulda went to bed an hour earlier and been much happier for it.
  5. Opposite here. Outdoor scrap can get rowdy. Trapped moisture, stones, I knew a guy in Virginia that had a live .22 make it in there. It needs to be done with a heavy lid and lid not removed for a good time during melts. I will pass.
  6. No way in hell I would smelt range scrap indoors. I wouldn't smelt outdoor scrap at all, not that desperate .....yet.
  7. I tell ya, I'm getting really sick of the stupidity on this show. This was the stupidest episode of the walking dead since I started watching it. An hour and a half. They could have accomplished the whole episode in ten minutes.
  8. Never tried to keep the smoke down.     Small batches are only something I have recently started doing.   In years past I would go on casting binges and do anywhere from a couple of thousand to as many as 5K. Store them in kitty litter buckets and use as needed.
  9. I cannot begin to count the thousands of rounds I cast on a hot plate and small steel pot.
  10. I'm not allowed to say what I think of that. Yall use your imagination based on what you know of me.
  11. WTF is a man bun? I'm afraid to google it.
  12. I have an iPhone 1 and a 3, both hold a charge for weeks if not used. The batteries seem to be holding up well for thier age.
  13. There are numerous places online to find PDF file military manuals.  Also consider the CD's sold at most gun shows.  I haven't looked but Imagine someone somewhere offers PDF files for automotive repair manuals.  The repair manuals for any mechanical thing you have would be the very valuable.  Also consider plant identification with color photos.
  14. Wipe them clean and then fill them with technical info.  Manuals, load data, schematics ANYTHING you know you cannot remember but would be invaluable WTSHTF.  Then buy a cheap solar charger...actually, buy two or three cheap solar chargers.
  15. Exactly sandstone. I feel like I've had enough blow guns and Pakistani knives, let's let the other side of Nashville have at it for a while.
  16. If he made false statements on his paperwork then he was NOT eligible to buy a gun. Good for the ffl here. He did right.
  17.       I could not disagree more.  I have MUCH more control over expansion with a cast bullet than any jacketed bullet and can do it at much lower velocities.  Cast bullet expansion can be easily controlled by alloy.  I can cast a hollow point from 50/50 wheel weights/soft lead and they will dang near splat on impact.  I cast a 230g bullet for my .358 Winchester with about a 70% meplat from a copper enriched babbit alloy that will barely deform when penetrating water jugs.  At 1880 FPS, it takes nearly a dozen to stop it.     Not to derail the discussion but expansion is a silly over analyzed bunch of crap any way.  Much like energy transfer.  Simple fact...Holes kill stuff.  A large heavy bullet at modest velocities will out penetrate any lightweight speedster.  Add a healthy meplat to a tough alloy and a cast bullet can and often does out perform premium whizz bang jacketed gimmicks with boring regularity.  Two nice big holes spewing blood like a hot can of beer.  That's real world performance.         If a cast bullet wasn't reliable to hunt with....there'd be Buffalo EVERYWHERE.
  18. If you're a bean counter, casting probably ain't for you.  It's NOT a frugal endeavor.  If you want more control over what you shoot...well, then it may be for you.
  19. Anyone listed on the trust can be in possession of trust held items. Who's listed on the trust that ain't getting deployed? That's where I would say they should be locked up.
  20. Yeah, well...wish in one hand and :poop: in the other.
  21. I'm thinking a CZ Skorpion or a Micro-Uzi.
  22. I was thinking the other day; The Walking Dead need release a book full of all the witty colloquialisms used on the show. Title it, 'The Proverbs of Abraham'
  23. Federal and Pathfinder both make a great tire for the money. While certainly not a Michelin they are still very good tires. .....and a heckuva lot easier to pay for.
