I just saw this post but I "pre" ordered one also. Don't know if it means anything but I happened to be looking on the Brownells site this morning and it now shows that item "out of stock" as opposed to "pre order". Could go either way I guess. Maybe it means they have reached their limit in preorders and they are close to shipping (fingers crossed). I have not recieved an e-mail as of yet saying they couldn't fill my order.

D & T prices are always fair I have found.. They got a Bushmaster in today and sold in short order, I believe price was 840. I'd say that's not a gouge. Nice knowledgeable folks too.

I have grown very fond of my Smith & Wesson Bodyguard .380. Never a problem with it. Pocket carries very nicely and the slide does lock back when empty also. My wife has the .38 Bodyguard it's pretty sweet and easy to operate but have to load her up with some wad-cutters for range practice or she balks after a few shots. I don't blame her it bites fairly well from the back end also with +p's.

What do pocket holsters do you use?
Deerbnb replied to Jon in TN's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Adamsholsters.com I love these, been carrying them for about a year. Smith& Wesson bodyguard .380, hidden, grab the pocket well. Absolutely love. Their pocket holster features shark skin that really grips. I had one made for my left pocket that holds my flashlight and spare mag also. According to Snopes, this is not correct. These people (according to them) are actual parents from the tragedy. People who make up things to stir the pot are not helping our cause. Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk 2

Have you had any backlash because you are a gunner?
Deerbnb replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
"Backlash"- not really. But some very interesting conversations with some of my more liberal f/b friends. One very interesting one in particular with a gal I grew up with (recently saw her at my 30 yr HS reunion) . She was actually very interested in my point of view and some of the media spun (less than) facts. I tried my best to set her straight. Another childhood friend (huge liberal supporter) has replied to alot of my posts with a link to some Huffington Post lefty nincompoops "facts" . I have had fun with that one. We go at it all the time but politely (sort of). I sent him some summer sausage from a Tennesee whitetail via Fed Ex right before this issue reared its ugly head. His position now is a bit more moderate by that i mean he wants me to still be able to own "hunting guns" but I have thus far been unable to convience him up the give an inch they take a mile stance I take. Still working on it... :) -
Open carry triggers business to post gun buster.
Deerbnb replied to Tncobra's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
not taking your side on this one but had to laugh, sounds like something my son would say (once upon a time I would have said it too) -

I was to report to the offices of (at that time) Caroon and Black to perform some services. when I came in the lobby a large group of the staff was standing around the large TV in the lobby to watch the launch. So it was all very surreal standing with a group of strangers in shock when the shuttle exploded. I'll never forget where I was and the feeling of disbelief.

How do you move your safe around?
Deerbnb replied to alwaysonjohn's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
my safe has not been a problem I've only moved it once. My wifes Steinway grand piano however a different story. I've moved it 3 times over the years, NO MORE..... Like several others said, appliance hand truck and a friend or two. Be sure and bolt it down. -
I have decided that I occasionally sound like a "turkey in distress" when I am calling. I have killed quite a few sneaky coyotes creeping in on me while turkey hunting. Even had one about 20 years ago put some tooth marks on my decoy at LBL while I was evidently quietly napping. I awoke to a very startled song dog movin out at a high rate of speed (he got away) so I repositioned my decoy and went back to sleep. #4's work pretty good too.

I too carry a Streamlight PT1 every day, love it. Very bright and small enough to keep it with me all the time.

Remington's response to Walmart specific guns
Deerbnb replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in Long Guns
my wife worked for Walmart several years ago and (at least our local store) had a special order gun catalog at the sporting goods desk. I recieved a nifty little Henry survival rifle for fathers day that year.
