  1. Anyone going? I'm not. However, if anyone does go, can you post here if you see a box of Winchester Ranger T series 40
  2. The guy in the sporting goods department told me this last night but he said the price would be closer to $997 at the Walmart on Clinton Hwy. I looked at the picture because they wouldn't be in stock until 2 weeks and I said no thanks. He asked why and I told him the truth. I could build one for 1k that would be better and at least have a quad rail for attachments. This is literally like a $600 beginner AR-15. He did say that it at least was supposed to have a 16" chrome lined barrel that's chambered for 5.56/.223 so that's at least one plus.
  3. Thank you for this one Have you had any experience with this shop?
  4. Nice. Too bad it's 9mm though. I'm looking for a .40 variant. I dunno though. I'll just have to find a shop around here that has one so I can put my hands on it and see that fiber optic sight for myself. I'll definitely be using this one as a carry gun so it looks like Elite Dark here I come...will miss the extra 2 mags though
  5. Well being a frugal man, I support this
  6. Thx bro I'll keep that in mind. Sounds like I may just go the Elite Dark route...I'd hate if that fiberoptic sight came out in my holster.
  7. Sorry, yes they would be .40 for both guns. I have held the P229 Elite Dark and I'll be holding the P226 Elite Dark probably tomorrow since the new gun I ordered for my dad hasn't arrived at the FFL yet today. I haven't found any place around here that has a TacOps in stock. I've tried the e2 grips and they felt okay but I was planning on replacing the stock grips on the TacOps with aluminum grips anyway . So, nothing but a range gun eh? Well, I guess the Elite Dark would win then because it would more than likely be my carry gun until I buy either an SP2022 or P229.
  8. Yes but if you didn't say OMFG to waiting 8 months to get a bloody gun, you're the most patient man alive Nice. I may need to look into this "instant rebate" thing. That price is slightly lower than what I would pay after the instant rebate.
  9. I'm trying to figure out which one I want to buy. I'm looking for some input though. The TacOps and Elite Dark both come with SRT's, Beavertail frame, and nightsights. The TacOps has a TruGlow Fiberoptic front sight and the normal Sig Nightsights on the rear. It also comes with 4 x 15 round magazines and Magpull Polymer grips. The Elite Dark comes with Adjustable Combat Nightsights, 2 x 12 round magazines, Aluminum grips (which I love), and front cocking serrations. Now of these, the only thing that's really got my attention are the nightsights and grips. So which one would you choose. Also, if I left out any feature, let me know.
  10. Yeah but I only get Sig's IOP discount if I order from them
  11. So, here's a nice story for you guys. Shortly after I bought my Sig P226 .40, I ordered a P226 Elite Dark 9mm with Threaded Barrel for my dad. I mean literally like 2 weeks after I got my gun back in like March or so. Well, not one of Sig's distributors had one (I called everyone of them to see) and so I had one order it for me. As of yesterday, they just got it in. We are talking almost 8 months of waiting to get a gun. When the lady from the store called me, I swear I had no idea what was going on. She said, your gun is in. I said "Huh?" But new pics will be shown once it gets to the FFL Thursday I believe. The super sad part is I want to sell my P226 and buy either an Elite Dark .40 or a .40 TacOps but that's for another thread . I asked her if she had any of those in stock and the answer was no but we could order it for you and I thought...another 8 months
  12. Awesome
  13. 1. No. The gist seems to be that unless you're being detained, you do not have to produce I.D. 2. That's the really iffy one. If you're carrying your weapon and the police officer sees it and asks to see your HCP, then you must produce it or at least that's the gist of what I gathered from this thread. 3. All forms of carrying a pistol in TN is illegal without a HCP.
  14. Nice but they don't even make them in my size
  15. Meh...I abhor gunbroker Silly registration rules. Well, I guess I'll just buy a box at $30 per...I really only need one box anyway.
  16. I've been looking for these bullets and haven't been able to find them outside of a few websites that want like $30 a box for them which seems insane. Anyone know of any other places to buy them. I tried looking for them at the last gun show but couldn't find them and some random vendor tried to convince me that the Winchester White Box JHP were the same thing and visually, they aren't the same.
  17. Meh...they were rather busy talking to another guy about fishing which I understand because fishing is awesome but he did ring me up and answer my question about the Winchester Ranger T-Series rounds I wanted but they didn't carry them
  18. Is Bill's ammo selection and price really that good? I did pick up a tube of Gun Grease for less than 3 bucks from them and that was awesome considering it costs me 7 at Gander Mountain but I really didn't see anything exciting there.
  19. I've shot the P30L and I have a P226. I love my P226 and the P30L just didn't do it for me. I don't know anything about the EMP so no comment there but I'd go for the Sig. The Tac Ops is a good edition but I would still opt for the aluminum grips. There's just something amazing about the Sig Aluminum grips. I've shot a P229 with them and I've hated my grips (standard polymer) every since. So my next one will probably be a Tac Ops .40 and then buy some aluminum grips during their next sale. How much are each if you don't mind my asking.?
  20. Did you at least call or try taking it back?
  21. 717 it seems all the good numbers are taken

  23. Okay thanks...I'll email him and ask.
  24. Yeah it does and it's $30 cheaper So I was curious if it were worth it or not.
