  1. Will you be bringing .40 ammo for less than $15 a box
  2. Honestly, the cheapest ammo is what I go with. Generally, I want brass cased so I go with Federal or some other brand that's on sale. The only time I buy Remington is when Dicks has a BOGO50% sale with the 100 round value packs or the 250 round bricks. Other than that, whatever is cheap at Walmart. TulAmmo is russian steel cased ammo and it shoots pretty well and is generally the cheapest ammo on the shelf at $12.97 for 50 rounds vs $16.97 for 50 rounds of Federal. Apparently, Dick's in Alcoa has their special going on right now and you can get 100 rounds for $29.99 + tax. Not exactly the best deal but $4 cheaper than Walmart's price of Winchester White Box 100 Round Packs. I'm heading up there now so I'll tell you if they have any 100 round packs or 250 round packs as they would probably be a better deal.
  3. Advanced Holster - Home I've just ordered one from here and the guy, Brent Fernandez, is a pleasure to deal with. He has a 10 day guarantee so it will ship from him within 10 days of you placing your order. Mine shipped today and will be here tomorrow and I'll takes pics for you and upload them so you can see it. There's also another guy who makes similar ones on eBay that are $35 with free shipping but he'll go down to $30 with free shipping if you use the "Best Offer" button. eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices However, I haven't tried his yet. I figure if I don't absolutely love my Advanced Holster, I'll give this one a try and see if it's great or not.
  4. lolz...that's nothing. They had a Taurus Judge there at the show and my friend wanted it. We checked online and the price would have been $450 (with rail model) with free shipping plus $30 FFL fee. They had it at like $569 or something like that and we offered $500 and they said no and that apparently that was below their cost. So we offered $520 which was $40 more than he could get online and they still said no. Apparently, whatever price they set there is what it's going to be and nothing shy of it. I think the only people that will actually haggle with you are the actual individuals who are trying to sell their guns and even then they are pretty set in what they want. If you want to hear about even more fun from them, go in on Saturday and Sunday and you'll notice that generally, the prices are HIGHER. I went on a Saturday once and saw a table with used P226 LEO mags for $21.99 a piece. I didn't feel like buying that day but I went back on Sunday and was going to see if he'd give me 2 for $35 to gauge his desire to sell because he had a lot of them. On Sunday, the price was now $29.99 a piece and he wouldn't budge. The best "deal" he would make was 2 for $50 and I just said screw it at that point. Hell, I can order them directly from Sig for $29 a piece with free shipping brand new. There was also a guy and lady selling a Sig 556 SWAT model for I think $1199. They said they had to charge sales tax as well which would mean they were doing as a business but they only had that one and one other gun on the table (a really good deal on a Sig P226..brand new for $700). I picked that rifle up and almost gave myself a panic attack as I actually considered paying their price. So I walked away and came back like 5 minutes later and made them an offer they refused. I offered them $1100 out the door for the rifle cash and told them if they accepted I would leave go to the bank and be right back in about 15 minutes. They declined. It happens though. However, there's another guy that went to a gun show and got a P229 Elite Dark for $810 so it's just a matter of who you're dealing with apparently. Some people will haggle and some won't.
  5. lolz no apologies necessary. I have a habit of choosing the wrong word and you're right, privileges is the better word.
  6. Glad I could help Their service is awesome. They definitely have my business so long as their prices are right.
  7. I have a Crossbreed Super Tuck and I just ordered one of these and I've also tried a Galco Kingtuk Advanced Holster - Home I ordered that one to see if I like it better than the Crossbreed but on a serious note, you should really just try out a bunch of them. The Galco Kingtuk is a good holster but it doesn't adjust and the draw from it takes a long time to master. So I scrapped it in favor of a Crossbreed I got off eBay and I like it okay as it does the job but I wanted to see if this one feels better. Remember that you won't ever see your holster except when you're not wearing it and at that time, what's the point so don't be obsessed with looks. OWB are way way way way more comfortable but IWB conceals so much better.
  8. The Walmarts here have that Federal American Eagle 223 ammo at $5.97 a box of 20 rounds and TulAmmo for $4.97 for a box of 20 rounds. Seems like a better deal there unless you just absolutely love Remmy. I may have to call and see how much their .40 rounds are as I need some new brass. By the time I'm finished, I'll have a good 500 shells ready to be reloaded when I actually start reloading. Too many priorities right now.
  9. From what I've read, pointing you guy at a person is considered deadly force. Legally, you can only justifiably draw if threatened with deadly force. However, I would personally see no problem with drawing on them to get them to stop as police do it all the time. However, we're not police and don't have the same rights so I wouldn't draw personally. The only thing I would even see as being somewhat conceivable is just lifting up your shirt and putting it over your guy and putting your hand on the weapon. There may still be ramifications for doing this but it could also accelerate the situation. This is one of those times when OldShoot needs to come in and share his wisdom.
  10. I honestly don't know what to say...at first I was laughing at the we take "Gold, Silver, and Used Guns" as a form of payment part but then he got a little weird at the end. I mean, free speech is one thing but seriously....
  11. I think if you're looking to do that kind of stuff, you may just want to go the Sig P250 or P226 route and buy a Caliber X-Change Kit. They are around $200 but have the entire slide and a magazine for switching between calibers and the best part is that they should come with nightsights except the 22LR which doesn't. Opinion over. To answer your question. No idea at all but if it's like any other gun, no should be the answer. Generally, at least with all the guns I've seen, a different slide is required because of the difference in recoil, ejector shape/size, and something else...I think it's the way the barrel lines up to the firing pin but I could be wrong about that. The only Guns I know that can do something like are the Sig 40's in which you can just drop in the .357 Sig barrel and still use the same slide and magazine. Edit: Found you some information via Google. http://smith-wessonforum.com/smith-wesson-m-p-pistols/209960-m-p-40-357sig-9mm.html Apparently, according to these posts, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but it's not S and W recommended to do it.
  12. If your campus is like UT's Campus here in Knoxville, you can't even have a weapon locked in your car or at least that's what I was told. Yes and no. He's not breaking any criminal law (technically, one could argue that since they've already told them not to do it that it would constitute the same as being told by a business owner not to carry in their shop when they aren't posted) but civil law is a different story. Since he signed the agreement, he could still be held liable for whatever damages they have enacted in their agreement and if he refuses, he could be taken to civil court.
  13. Garufa hit the nail on the head. Just talk to them, knock on the door or just catch them when they come home from work and tell them about it. If it continues to happen again, talk to them once more. If you have a home owner's association, check your HOA rule book. If there's anything in there, use that against them and then call the police. I would honestly talk to them twice and then call the cops to solve the problem and continue to call the cops on them until they keep their dog inside or at least help the dog get rid of it's separation anxiety. However, I think after they get their first $200 ticket for a noise violation, they'll be more than willing to keep the dog inside. Afterward, just explain to them and you did ask them twice and it was nothing personal against them but you have a life to live as well and hope they understand.. My neighbor's dog did this crap when he first got the thing. I don't know why but they got the dog as a puppy, kept it inside for about a month or so and then decided to just start putting it outside and of course it would sit at their backdoor waiting for it to open and whine and cry all day and night long. After 2 days of that of that crap, I just walked over and talked to him. The noise apparently never bothered him but it damn sure bothered me. I even showed him books on how to help with his dog's separation anxiety. It still whined and cried while they were training it but at least he trained it. Now it may whine for about 3 minutes when they put it outside but then it stops and that's okay with me.
  14. +1 for it being time to move. This is the first time I've ever heard of a lease where it states what you can and can't own in the place you're paying to live in but whatever. 1. Yes. Frankly speaking, a barrel is just a pipe with twists milled into it. 2. The lease is a contract that you have to abide by until it ends. Unfortunately, it does supercede the law because (this is the part I don't like) it doesn't pertain to others. It pertains to you, the person who signed the lease and not the general public. 3. No. It's just considered a tragic chain of events. Now, if you were killed, your family could try and pursue a law suit against them for not allowing you to carry but it would literally just be a jury sympathy contest to win it. Honestly, I just wish you would have gotten him to amend the lease when he said that to you in the first place but that's all hindsight now. About the only thing you can do is stay until your lease is up and then move to another place that doesn't have things like that in their lease agreements.
  15. Unfortunately, no. You can carry it in your apartment with no problems but the minute you leave your doorway, you need a HCP to carry. The best thing you can do is to go get your HCP. Mine took 18 days to arrive at my house so hopefully yours will arrive in the same time frame. Technically speaking, your lease agreement for an apartment only gives you "ownership" of the inside of the apartment and generally balconies that are attached to your apartment. The rest of it is private property owned by whatever company/person owns the complex.
  16. Actually, it looks like everyone else has asked already. They are $397 for the Glock. Now, if you want to get it locally and have it that day, Craig's Firearms on Chapman Hwy will get it to you as they are a Glock distributor and the price is $397 + tax for a Glock without nightsights and $447 + tax with nightsights. However, if you don't want to pay the sales tax, I would suggest looking for a distributor that's out of state that ships for free. Then it's $447 shipped plus a $30 FFL and background check fee. $447 + $41.35 = $488.35 Locally before background check. Should be $498.35 total $447 + $30 = $477 ordered online with background check included Also, I'm pretty sure this is the price for any Glock except the 5" barrel models and they should all come with 3 factory Glock mags.
  17. Depends on the ammo you're buying. For me, I wanted some Winchester Ranger T-Series rounds and they have the best prices shipped of all the etailers I visited.
  18. Which is immediately invalidated once you produce your HCP.
  19. Why did they run your serial number? The conversation should have ended when you handed your HCP to show that you're not breaking any law and thus ending their probable cause.
  20. Yeah but I really want to see a bullet though.
  21. That you did indeed and I thank you for it
  22. Well, I placed my first order with them and it will definitely not be the last. I ordered 200 rounds of Winchester Ranger T-Series ammunition and it arrived today. They were awesome enough to even place an intercept for me so I could just go and pick it up from UPS instead of waiting around all day for them to deliver it. They arrived perfectly packaged and other than a little crushing on the edges of the boxes, they were in good shape.
  23. Great to hear.
