So how did it go? Inquiring minds want to know
-
Well, I know they've got Cincinnati, OH now and it made me smile .
-
I used to want a Glock. Then I shot a Sig and now I can't stand the Glock triggers. The M&P trigger was a little better but I love my Sig DA/SA trigger now and really can't seem to get used to any other ones. I know a couple of my friends prefer long trigger pulls for a short Single Action pull but not this guy.

I've done a bunch of them. Maker's Mark was pretty awesome. Did they let you try their moonshine? Four Roses was my favorite. Apparently, every summer, they shut down for 4-5 months which is awesome. Apparently they make all the bourbon they need for the year within the time frame that they are operational. I absolutely loved their Four Roses Small Batch bottle over everything else. Woodford is great. Jim Bean was so so. Wild Turkey was okay as well. In fact, I think we learned more about Wild Turkey at Four Roses than we did at Wild Turkey. Also, apparently most of the distilleries give away their mash byproduct to the farmers (give or sell) in their area which I thought was cool as well. There's only 6 so make sure you get your passport and get it stamped at the locations and then you can get yourself a free T-Shirt.

No worries. I have purchased my new IWB holster today along with 500 rounds of personal protection ammo . Unfortunately, still haven't trying to figure out which one I'll use for EDC. Meh, you can help with that at some point .

+1 for getting new grips. If you get the Elite Dark, you get the most amazingly comfortable aluminum grips I've ever held. But that's just my preference.
-
I love Sig's personally. Nysos has a P229 I believe and can probably give you more info that I can about it but I carry a P226. If you're set on those models, between the 2, I'd go with the Railed. Will you be getting it with Sig nightsights or putting your own on?

With that kind of money, I'd have to do some thinking. Honestly I dunno. I know I'd buy a plot of land somewhere with at least 10 acres and build myself a massive house and a guest house for my friends. Give some to the parents (not much). After that, who knows. I'd probably put a bunch into savings, buy bonds with some, a couple of CD's, pad up my IRA and Roth IRA to the max for the year and then I've got nothing. I may get a couple of more handguns that I want but beyond that, I wouldn't really buy much else. I wouldn't really have a need for anything. I would possibly buy a new car but as of this moment, there are no new cars on the market that I want.

Where To Find Winchester Ranger T-Series?
wcsc12 replied to wcsc12's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
For those that are in Knoxville, Craig's Firearms out on Chapman hwy has 7 more boxes of Winchester Ranger SXT 180gr 40 S&W for sale. On the phone and in the store, the boxes price was 23.99 but he only charged me 20.99 +tax. He doesn't normally stock them but he ended up with 9 boxes of it. 2 of them are now with me . Once they are gone, that's it so stock up if you like this ammo. -
I just love the advertising for these suckers.
-
Yeah I saw that but I don't want it bad enough to pay an extra $0.09 a round . I've just decided to buy from SGAmmo.com. I will say this much, I've gone above and beyond to try and find this ammunition. I've even called the Winchester distributor for my state to see if they had anywhere close to Knoxville that actually sells the stuff and nothing in Knoxville and she's checking for the rest of the state for me. Why oh why does Winchester have that silly "Law Enforcement Only" rule attached to this ammunition. All it really does is instantly hike the bloody price up $6-$10 a box for civilians. Officers can buy it for $20-$22 a box. Hell, I want to be a cop for a week just so I can stock up on ammo and quit.
-
Hmmm...never heard of this place. Will have to check it out while I'm out there tomorrow to see what kind of ammunition they carry.
-
No. We all vote the same. We weigh everything that's on their platform and decide if all the things they stand for that we're good with outweigh the things we're not. In the end, not all liberals are anti gun. Nice to meet you I'm a liberal as well. That makes two of us For me, it's common sense. Unfortunately, (this will sound kind of mean but it's true) people are stupid and their lives are completely ruled by fear. A gun is nothing more than a tool. A gun cannot kill you or anyone else. It takes a person buying the ammunition, loading it into the magazines or chamber (in the case of semi automatics, racking the slide to chamber a round), and pulling that trigger with the gun pointed at someone to kill. But it's easier to just say that guns killed x amount of people and not people killed x amount of people. So I look at a gun as being just another tool in my house. I have a power drill, a power buffer, a power sander, knives, forks, spoons, and numerous other tools and my gun. They are all in the same category to me.

I didn't even bother asking once he said he didn't carry that ammo and his Sig Magazines were $35 a piece
-
Hmmm...I may have to stop by and check this place out on Monday during my gun running errands.

Nothing new here. Wal-mart regularly encourages companies like "Levi" (or whatever brand name jeans they keep in stock) to outsource their product of jeans that go to Walmart to ensure that the cost remains under what Wal-mart plans to sell them so that both companies can make a profit. It's why most brand name things that are specially made for walmart have differences compared to the brand name product in other stores.

Absolutely hilarious...thank you

Not all liberals are anti guns you know. For some reason, it's just the stupid politicians.
-
Just got off the phone with Steve and unfortunately, he doesn't have any of the Winchester Ranger T-Series rounds either...well I guess time to fire off that $70 order.
-
Niceness...well no update as of yet. I didn't get a chance to pick it up until Monday as for some reason, my FFL was closed on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday last week. I picked it up on Monday but haven't had a chance to go and shoot it yet. It does feel pretty good though. I am absolutely in love with those aluminum grips. They way they make the frame feel in my hand is perfect. So hopefully, I'll get a chance to go shooting on either Tuesday or Wednesday coming up. I may have to make a payment to TGO though to sell my old P226...but that's another thread for another day.

It seemed like a long time until I realized you were just saying 20 days to get your HCP. "Hood"??? do you mean your neighborhood? You definitely need to go do your wally walk though. It will definitely be better than any "hood" walk.

Info on Volunteer Rifle & Pistol Club or ORSA
wcsc12 replied to JReedEsq's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
I have one of their brochures and a guy I work with is a member. I'll tell you this much though. They shoot out of the John Sevier Hunter Education Center on Rifle Range Rd and it's a bloody bench shooting range. No matter what you shoot on Tuesday and Thursday, it must be shot from a sitting position. Wasn't a fan of that. The guy I work with says that on Sunday, you can shoot from a standing position with pistols and shotguns but I've never been so I don't really have any comment. -
Called JJ Farmer. He said he didn't have any of it in 9mm but he has the T series in a Winchester White Box (not sure but that's what he said) in .40 for $21.99 a box. Not a bad price if it's actually the T-Series and not just the JHP rounds. No answer from TGT. If TGT has them though, I may just ask to take a trip out to them and pick it up . Also, is TGT a business store front?
-
Found the number for jj farmer but what's tgt spelled out? Nothing comes up for a google search for "tgt powell tn" or "tgt ammo" or "tgt ammunition". However, I will definitely call them as I need to buy 250 rounds and would rather not have to pay to ship them as well Also, thank you Are you going to be at the show?
