  1. Disgusting! With a bail bondsman he can be released for $2500! Obviously, life is cheap in Memphis!!!
  2. Per our conversation...I'll Take It!!!
  3. I'll take it! PM your PayPal info and payment will be on the way!
  4. I just had the Glockstore mill my G-43X to receive a Holosun HE507K. Dropped off the slide on Friday (11/4) afternoon and the slide was ready for pickup Tuesday (11/8) afternoon...a 3 business day turnaround! Their work was absolutely top notch and the mounted optic fits perfectly.
  5. Thank you, that's the exact info I was looking for.

    S&W 686 Markings

There's nothing prettier than a classic S&W revolver with old-time bluing. To my eye today's modern finishes, although much more durable, just can't compare aesthetically. Good luck with the quest!

    S&W 686 Markings

Thanks for the reply. I thought the same thing but I can't find any connection between the TN Public Service Commission, which records indicate was a purely regulatory body, and TN law enforcement. The TN Public Service Commission ceased operations in 1996.
  10. I recently acquired a S&W 686-2 that is purported to be a TN state issued law enforcement duty weapon from the late '80s. Does anyone know the significance of following markings located on the frame below the cylinder?
  11. Wilco truck stop in Monteagle is still at $1.999 for unleaded regular!
  12. Since both you and your friend are shooting left it's quite possible that your rear sight could have shifted. I wouldn't blame either your technique or your eyes as you are shooting centered groups with other handguns.
  13. I can't speak to the shakes but I certainly can empathize with your near vision issues. I had the same exact problem that you have and as my eye doctor said it was very SAD (Short Arm Syndrome) situation. My uncorrected vision left the front sight out of focus while my corrected vision rendered my rear sight useless. Try an RMR red-dot sight...solved my vision issues!
  14. These folks have done 2 Glock slides for me. Basic RMR cut-out was $125. Quality work at what I think was a reasonable price. Not sure if they do 1911s but they're worth a call. http://www.onesourcetactical.com
  15. Good new for AL permit holders: "This week, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) published an open letter to Alabama Federal Firearm Licensees (FFLs) notifying them that, effective immediately, they may accept a valid Alabama concealed carry permit issued on or after August 1, 2013 in lieu of conducting a background check through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS)." https://www.nraila.org/articles/20160226/alabama-nics-exemption-status-now-recognized-for-alabama-permit-holders Given the State of Tennessee's permit background check requirement it would seem that TN permit holders should be afforded the same "privilege".
  16. I have one of each - a 3.25 RM01 and a 6.5 RM07. Which I prefer is entirely dependent upon what type of shooting I'm doing. If I'm shooting 25 yds or less, especially in a setting where quick target acquisition is important, then I prefer the 6.5 MOA. For all other shooting I prefer the 3.25 MOA. If I could choose only one I'd keep the 3.25 MOA...to me it's much more versatile. We're right down the road from each other so if you'd like to meet up to take a look at the 2 different MOAs in person let me know and we can arrange something. Just PM me. By the way...my tired old eyes make me a HUGE RMR fan!
  17. I'm sitting here looking at their flyer and the Larry's Pistol & Pawn sale runs from Friday Nov. 20 thru Monday Nov. 30. I was at Larry's Friday at noontime and they still had both .40 and .45 available. Their ad claims that they've purchased $300,000 worth of Golden Saber ammo for the sale and Larry said they'll be putting out a daily allotment of ammo every morning till the sale is over. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.
