If you run the Disk Cleanup program in startup>all programs>accessories>system tools, it should show you a total of the space which could be recovered by cleaning it out.

Haven't found a bullpup rifle with a halfway decent trigger, compared to an AR... and personally, I wanted to fit an AR with a suppressor without making it ridiculously long, so the choice was simple. Of the three, the cheapest option would be the MSAR... and those are nice rifles.

A valid point. But, playing devil's advocate, I've personally had a revolver cylinder seize at the range. It was kaput until I could get it home for disassembly. I have never had a semi-auto malfunction end the day. Since there's no guarantee of reliability with either type, I'd personally much rather have a weapon which I know I can clear, and has a redundant feed mechanism (spare magazine).

In that case the "better" part of the equation is the shooter not the weapon. True... there are a handful of guys that can shoot a revolver faster than the average semi-auto can cycle. But, if we remain in the realm of practical applications (ie, excepting parlor tricks) there is nothing that any average shooter using a revolver can do that he couldn't do more easily with a semi-auto, due to reduced recoil, more capacity, equal accuracy and greater ease of reloading... except perhaps chamber a cartridge with massive power for hunting.

Autos absorb recoil, can be just as accurate as revolvers of similar size, have a higher capacity, are easier to reload, can have a suppressor effectively installed, do not require manual cocking of a hammer in order to achieve a crisp light trigger pull, malfunctions do not commonly require a gunsmith in order to rectify immediately, their shape makes carrying IWB more comfortable and practical... really the only advantages a revolver has are that it can handle more powerful loads, and are easier to mount a scope onto and equip with a long barrel, to achieve some increased accuracy and range potential. So, they are better for hunting... that's about it.

I want one. I often wondered why the lower bore axis wasn't used more commonly before now on revolvers... it just makes more sense.

Guess it depends on what style of mag release you like and how much money you have to blow... the nice thing about H&K is their variety of trigger/safety/decocker configurations, and their higher quality sights, tolerances, materials, and ergonomics. I guess what I'm saying is that it's easier to find an H&K that fits you and is enjoyable to shoot. Want an awesome trigger? The SA trigger in an Expert model is hard to beat. Want fewer controls and a short reset without a super-light initial pull? Check out the LEM... But, if you're looking primarily for cheap and don't mind having a gun that does all of those things mediocre for half the price, get a Glock. I got one for that reason... it's no beauty, and it can't be described as a high-quality precision instrument, but it always shoots and it'll probably last forever even as much as I abuse it. Sometimes that's all that matters.

Sounds like a slave cylinder going... maybe the master cylinder. A signigicant drop in your clutch reservoir level would be an indication. Try topping it off and pumping the clutch a few times.

Seems to me that all parties handled the situation exceptionally... I would expect to be asked for identification no matter where I was, if involved in a situation like this, and it only makes sense to ask for a HCP vs. DL, since it was appropriate to the situation. Kudos to the mom and the officers.

Most .38 Special loads from a snubnose drop about 2"-2 1/2" at 30yd... so I'd say unless you can shoot a sub-2" group at 30yd with the gun, there's no point in doing more than setting it to actual point of aim at any yardage you feel comfortable shooting, considering that in actual use (which will hopefull never happen), you'll likely be within 21 feet of the target.

Not sure how these would be any better than buckshot... especially to those worried about overpenetration. Apparently they were great for wounding through cover, such as underbrush in jungles.

Update... got to handle one of these at Hero Gear recently. I must admit that I was impressed with the ergonomics, I could see this being a great shooting rifle.

Does the $190 for the match barrel include the cost of them fitting it? If so then there's no question you should go that route... a fitted match barrel for only $85 more is a good deal.

It means that they are going to more carefully fit your existing barrel into your existing slide so that their mating surfaces have very tight tolerances, and engage smoothly and repeatably... It won't be match grade but will be 'as accurate' as match grade. It's the same thing as having a match barrel fitted into your gun, minus the match barrel. Sounds dumb, but it makes a bit of a difference... moreso in just how smoothly your action locks, making the gun more repeatable, but doesn't make the rifling any more true.
