  1. I keep Remington 3" 000-Buckshot in mine.
  2. I usually just slip it in the left rear pocket (don't like front pocket, since it would be harder to access while crouched down, and you better believe I'll be crouching if it's bad enough to need a reload...), but I occasionally use a mag pouch, especially in the winter, when clothing is easier to provide room for one.
  3. I just started playing this game... beat the campaign a couple times yesterday so I'm interested to see how the online play is when I have some time.
  4. Exactly... gimme an MP5 over an M1 Carbine anyday, as well.
  5. It also depends alot on what you are familiar with... having alot more experience with the AR platform, there's no way I'd choose a WWII vintage rifle over one, due to the excessive weight, rudimentary controls and ergonomics. If I want a bigger caliber, give me a FAL over an M1 anyday.
  6. That's why they make lots of different kinds of guns... for different tastes, and for different purposes. I personally have no use for a bolt action rifle, so, I just don't bother with them.
  7. My only concern is they are essentially importing voters and welfare recipients... that's not cool. I could care less where they come from, but it does matter what flag they are loyal to.
  8. +1 Dave & Todd... Real world trumps theory any day. Only thing I can add is an experience from several years ago shooting at a hog carcass with .380, 9mm, .45 and 12ga... shooting the head, specifically, none of the FMJ rounds from any of the pistol calibers did more than just glance off the skull and tear some skin... but the 9mm and .45 jhp bullets punched right through from nearly any angle (didn't have .380 jhps at the time), but just that seemed to indicate to me that the JHP profile is more efficient at least during initial penetration and when large bones are encountered, and FMJ is more prone to deflection... I'm not sure how much differently that would pan out in a SD situation, but I'd like to be somewhat confident that my bullet is going to destroy what it hits instead of glancing off a rib, etc... unpredictably. This is why I will always use the heaviest JHP bullet I can get, in a given caliber (147gr for 9mm, 230gr for .45 and if I ever carried a .380 I would stock up on some 102gr golden sabers long before depending on a round-nose).
  9. Mine are always fully loaded. But, whatever you decided to do, be consistent about it. Even if you decided to keep the chamber empty, practice always racking the slide when unholstering and aquiring a target... it's not ideal, but it should be instinctive if you feel the need to take that precaution.
  10. It's neither here nor there, really... and I'll preface this by saying I own and occasionally carry a Glock, but, we all know that the overwhelming primary reason for the popularity of this brand is the department pricing, and subsequent familiarity because of supply and marketing. But, for the price, they do work great. Anything can and will fail given the right circumstances, and just like any other mass-produced device, the Glock has its weak points... and the majority of any design's weaknesses require some adverse or unexpected outside influence to be made this obvious. So, all this thread is reporting is another instance of a particular model failing in a spectacular way because circumstances lined up for it to do so... it doesn't hurt anything to try to be unbiased and recognize a pattern of failures, and admit something isn't perfect. It's not personal.

    Glocks

    Added a poll for ya'll.
  12. Fail... This pistol should have received a grip length reduction. And with the width of the magazine, I would expect a 13rd capacity given a similar grip length as a XD9SC.
  13. Denial and misdirection in... 3... 2... 1...
  14. I can't find it right now, but I am fairly certain that it is unlawful to discharge a firearm within city limits or within a certain distance of an occupied building unless it is at an approved range... hopefully someone else has a citation, my Google-Fu sucks today.
  15. I would guess (note: guess) that the unbonded +p bullets would be more likely to separate and penetrate fewer walls... but being +p they might be more deafening or have more blinding flash (which could be either a blessing or a curse, or a non-issue). Either one would be plenty effective.
  16. - Cocked and Locked is unsafe... - Shooting small groups into an unmoving target at a well-lit range while standing still and wearing hearing protection is great practice for self-defense... - My gun doesn't jam... - These +++P Extreme Black Ranger Sabre Ninja cartridges will give me the upper hand... - I need a gas piston upper for my AR...
  17. Looks like they just pieced together a bunch of their other guns... no interest from me.
  18. I've seen one of these in 12ga, as an SBS... pretty cool actually, not sure how practical it is, but would make a neat door breacher.
  19. I used to carry .357sig exclusively... it is a very accurate cartridge, and for the power it delivers, it is very controllable. The reason I moved back to 9mm is for more economical range sessions, intention to buy a pistol suppressor (which would be almost pointless on a .357sig), and besides, with a full load of Double-Tap 147gr +p cartridges there is no lack of penetration, and I have a bit extra capacity in the magazine. .357sig is noticably louder and snappier than 9mm... but not at all close to being difficult to shoot, even in compact semi-autos.
  20. Pretty much... bring on the new year as far as I am concerned.
  21. It doesn't look much different than an original P99, really... just a slightly reprofiled slide, different rail, and a new texture on the grip. Ho hum... But if it shoots as good as the original, I may give one a try.

    Can't decide

I was gonna suggest an M&P9C... ambi controls yanno... that, or a P2000SK.
  23. That information sure could have saved alot of folks from remedial English, lol...
  24. I'd be happy to help free of charge, provided that I feel up to standing up (getting a vasectomy on the 11th).
  25. They are excellent shooters... I don't know that I would part with a P250 for one though, unless you just wanted to or didn't like the Sig. I'd take an M9 over a Cougar anyday, personally... but that also depends on her personality.
