  1. Every gun should have night-sights...
  2. We'd have to ask one of his wives... or the goat.
  3. I guess Sundays aren't that great of an idea then... I hate I missed the fun, the RO sounds like a real 'winner'.
  4. I tried some herbal stuff when I was having trouble sleeping at first... Valerian root or something. Works like a charm, and don't mind using it fairly often since it's not a 'drug' per se.
  5. Give that dog a bone. Glad you're safe, probably be good to take extra care for a bit. Did the deputies mention whether they could step up patrols in the area. It would be worth asking... at least might cut the response time.
  6. Shooting people running away at that distance isn't cool (unless they've planted a bomb and are holding the detonator, I suppose). But, in a wierd twist of poetic justice, I honestly wouldn't have complained if the thugs who murdered that fellow had got capped... can't say I would have done the same thing though, not being involved in the situation from the beginning, especially.
  7. I got a prompt reply from FNH when I e-mailed a question about my FNP-45 a few months ago. I'll try to get back with you the name of the CSR who I talked to... he was very helpful. Also, I think on the FN Forum, there is a thread in which an FNH rep answers questions regularly... your question may already have been answered there.

    Range Reports

I prefer to not go to those. Standing still slow-firing kinda defeats the purpose of practicing for defense. If I find myself at one, I prefer to take out the lever-action, and a revolver or a .22 and just plink for cheap. But, I don't have enough free time to have much interest in plinking.
  9. ...because the chicken's pimp told her to work a different block for a change.
  10. I used to play some of the old ones... it's been years though. They were fun.
  11. Bob Barr - 81% John McCain - 67% Ralph Nader - 39%
  12. Biggest problem is lead bullets and extreme pressures, is my understanding. As long as you're not loading max loads, and you're careful and precise, I don't see a problem with rolling your own.

    Range Reports

I try to always draw from the holster, perform several rapid reloads, and shoot as quickly as I can aquire the target. Small groups get boring (to me)... means I'm not shooting or moving fast enough.
  14. The exposed lead of the SJHP will more quickly deform... but that doesn't necessarily mean in a good way. I've seen a few gel tests in which the cavity collapsed inward instead of mushrooming, with bullets like this. They are an old design, no reason at all to choose them over a modern bonded JHP.
  15. I don't care to go to gun shows anymore... but the vast majority of the times that I used to go, there was no need for me to inform them or disarm, because the building was not properly posted. The other signs didn't apply to me, simple 'nuff.
  16. Ask to see a printout of the MAF code.
  17. Actually it's .224"... but the commercial designation of the cartridge is 223 Remington.

  19. Oops Me payee no attention.
  20. I'd be a whole lot happier if the folks living off of my labor at least were held to the same standard as I, in regard to drug testing.
  21. Yeah, and the transfer fees are really high.
  22. The look is earth-tones The feel is warm and fuzzy

  24. Capitalist pigs! The Motherland equips her army with only the best equipment suitable for the world's premier fighting force! It is not the stock which is too short, it is your arms which are too long! Now, stop complaining and go charge that machine-gun nest... Seriously though, try squaring off your stance.
  25. Jumper a wire from a turn signal lamp to the horn. Take one of those musical cards (the fruitier the song, the better), remove the player, and rig it to one of the car doors (or a case folder might be cute), so that when it opens the music will play. The frozen shaving cream is awesome... Load the Xerox machine paper tray with porn printed on the back-side. Fill the trunk with sex-toys Drilled out potato with a whistle stuck in one end, rammed up a tail-pipe.
