  1. i can promise that if this doesnt pass my voting record will not be the same as in the past
  2. i have been dis=armed 3 times, weapon unloaded and given the weapon and ammo when they left.
  3. ignorance of the law excuses no one then why is the officer not required to know the law. 3 different officers since 97 have given me the riot act on how i carry. tenn. law states where i can carry only, not how. cocked and locked and or open carry is none of the officers business whether he likes it or not. now before some of u get your panties in a wad i dont carry open often and have several good friends that are officers. i am absolutely not a cop basher. just stating what has happened to me
  4. as many statutes as there on the books i submit that 99.9 percent of us break the law EVERY day no matter how hard we try not to. as far as a reason to buy more guns who needs one. if i see a weapon i like and it doesnt cause a problem with grocerys or beer money i probably will buy it.
  5. 518 trans with hughes converter and manual valve body for my 82 dodge pick-up
  6. with the rite ammo one can just about leave the rifle at home out to 100 yards. back when my son and i practiced a lot he was bad with his. saw him hit the 4 in. end of cinder blocks 3 out of 5 times any day of the week without a bench rest at a measured 100. one needs to worry about over penetration in self defense though
  7. i am closing mine today. been trying to do a transaction for 6 months and was easier to leave money there for that time.i have been told it is the home office doing it not the bank managers. funny thing the signs in the home office state mean nothing just have to leave if told to.
  8. this old man has said that for years. too many of them out there that look real. a friend showed me one and until i had it in my hand i didnt know it was a bb pistol
  9. ithink he has an agenda and he is working on it behind the scenes. i dont think it is for the betterment of the U.S.A. either.
  10. think i read somewhere several years ago that Yamamoto accually didnt say that but it has been so long cant remember where
  11. ususally kill 3-4 black widows in my shop every year. have plenty of daddy longlegs at my place BUT the smaller grey ones CAN AND WILL bite. sitting on my front porch about 3 weeks ago thought a skeeter bit me i looked down at my leg and this grey grand daddy had decided it wanted part of me. it got blood and it itched for a little while but no other problems. that one wont bite anyone else though
  12. only bought 2 new vehicles in my life and still got them. dont drive them anymore though. got an 82 dodge 1/2 ton with cummins in it and a 90 dodge with cummins and dont plan on buying any of the new electronic stuff that takes a philadelphia lawyer to work on for what ever life i have left. with a little research one can usually find great used vehicles for less than half the new and drive them for years. if i had left my 90 alone 2 window motors and a radiator and a brake job would have been the repairs from 97 to present.
  13. i caught a good sized one about 20 years ago and a guy at camp killed it. he had a big pot of water boiling and dropped it in it. he kept watching it and as soon as he could pull a toenail off with his finger he took it out. rubbed the skin with a rough cloth and it came out white as snow. cleaned turtle, battered it skin on and deep fried it. no bad odor and we almost fought over the last piece.
  14. region headquarters i think is in Alabama and if i understand the law the sign in that state doesnt have teeth like it does in tenn. i dont think the dummies realize all they can do in that state is ask one to leave. i have some funds in regions and am waiting a financial deal if it does or doesnt i am moving from regions too.
  15. an old country music song when i was growing up "thank God and greyhound shes gone"
  16. wish it could be done in hamilton county. it mite even change some of the gang problem in the parks in chattanooga too.
  17. the voice bothers me too. i do like what she says just not sure she could pull it off if she should run and win.
  18. black leaded coffee. i drink a pot of such ever morning by 10:00. a day late on this thread but just old and slow.
  19. a rattlesnake MIGHT not kill u but the tissue loss is quite large on the 2 i have seen
  20. the way i read the law if one shoots a big cat it had better be the 3 S,s if there isnt a season on an animal it is considered poaching.
  21. this old man will never vote for an anti-gun president. trump has already come out to renew the so called assault weapon ban and high capacity magazines. the president can do no more than congress will let him but why take a chance.
  22. jughead

    Anyone do cars?

i dont have anything as purty as what i am seeing but do have a ragged 82 dodge pu 1/2 ton with cummins in it. last time at the strip several years ago short times were 1.80s. 0-60 5.1. did use 9 in. slicks. street tires are useless with that light rear end.
  23. how can there be so many shootings in chattanooga parks when mister littlefield has said guns will NOT be tolerated in them. "sarcasum of now"
  24. dont mind an officer asking to see my license. i do mind 3 different times in the last 8 years them telling me to cover it up. i was in my truck when one took the weapon, unloaded it and told me to put it under the seat. my truck doesnt have ac so i usually take off the over shirt while driving. didnt get a ticket that i probably deserved but did have a rather heated discusion. i now keep the paper work on carrying a handgun in tn in both my vehicles.
  25. one word of caution. DO NOT trust the de-cocker. it is common for the weapon to discharge when using it. that being said it is an amazing weapon try it at 100 yard the ones i have fired are bad. with practice one doesnt need a rifle at that range
