  5. i would tell my neighbor to get over it. my sister and my in-laws dislike it. i told them tough get over it. it has never been a white or black thing with me i grew up with blacks as neighbors. we played together sometimes ate together. 30 years in business never had a black person beat me out of anything. cant say that about the whites. oh and i have been flying one along with the american flag for many years.
  6. seems like i read some where several years ago that since the time of george washington congress has spent about 25 percent more money than they had coming in every year. if so raising taxes will NEVER do any good until we change the mind set in d.c.
  7. i have been stopped 2 times since 97 and was dis-armed both times. dont mind that but tenn law tells me where i can carry NOT how i can carry and both officers read me the riot act over how i carry. aint none of their business.
  8. i will thank God that my prayers have been answered if the muslim is out of office. if not then i will just take life one day at a time.
  9. as one who remembers the 93 storm in soddy-daisy i had 21 ins. in my parking lot and at 75 years old dont want to try to cope with that again. keep that stuff up north.
  10. this old man has been stopped 3 times since 97. ALL 3 times i was read the riot act because i was carrying cocked and locked. why should i not distrust officers that should know better.
  11. sounds like the story of my niece except she was in her 50s and had never fired a weapon. she did well too. been 3 times now. she lives on the left coast and dont see her often. she did have a problem with my 12 gauge though. she knew it would kick but she almost dropped it. the look on her face was priceless. kinda like what is this thing and then went back to shooting it.
  12. after 3 run=ins with officers on what i carry and how i now have copies of tenn. law in both of my vehicles.
  13. i bought one of those about 15 years ago. jambs every 5-6 rounds cleaned it didnt help. my son took that thing apart piece by piece when he got done put 2 mags through it without a failure. it has been in the safe ever since
  14. crap like this got this old man to hang one several years back. i have the U.S flag hung in its proper place and have the confederate flag in its proper place. i have heard that one cannot fly the confederate flag in chattanooga though. true or not ?
  15. this old man has been using one with exposed trigger since the mid 90s with no problems. they are out there
  16. the only time this old man uses a place with the gun-buster sign is when i have no choice like a hospital. almost anything else is available elsewhere.at my age though doctors and hospitals seem to pop up regularly
  17. this old man just scored a nice marlin 357 last week.had not been looking too hard but a buddy had one he was getting rid of.
  18. it may be the law but any non-violent felon that is free to walk the streets of this nation should be able to do anything those of us that are not can do. one old mans opinion and have felt that way all my life.
  19. sounds like one or two on this board do not feel too secure in or with their manhood

    Ants!

if they are those large black wood ants i call them slice a cucumber and lay small slices around where u see them and they will be gone in a couple of days. wont work on those little tiny ones though had to use a poison to get rid of them.
  21. welcome to the chattanooga area. when u get here drop by and see me. i live about 20 miles north of the city.
  22. things sure have changed. growing up i had to walk about 1/2 mile on a public road to get to the woods. no one bothered or cared. officers drove by and waved and went on their way. that was up into the 60s then i got lazy and had a vehicle
  23. took 4 or 5 apart a few years ago. they had everything but usable batteries in them
