I think they sent the bill to summer reset to ponder over since Haslam decried how he disapproved of it. I heard sen nicely speaking about the why of crafting this and I understand his point of view. He contends that because so many us senate candidates are bankrolled by such wealthy patrons, hmm like haslam?, it in essence prohibits the people from having any actual choice. so rather than have the selection process in the hands of a few plutocrats it would at least be deferred to the tn legislators who are accountable to the people every few years. The idea being that once these corkers & alexanders get to d.c. & meet even more plutocratic fat cats they have even less interest in being altruistically motivated on behalf of the state and succumb fully to those national lobbyists & special interest groups willing to bankroll their next election run. In theory I can see the merits of his argument. I believe the change from the original process was implemented by the progressives a 100 years ago. In practice if would be interesting to see if it is as susceptible to corruption as our current system is or not. I'm actually in favor of it if for no other reason than to shake the current status quo and piss off lax & lazy incumbents.

To truly appreciate where we stand & where we're heading I think it would behoove everyone to really consider what has occurred in the last few months. National discussions about drones that just 1-2 years ago would have had you relegated to 'being of' the dark recesses of groups that constantly talk about clandestine project this and operation that the government had conducted unbeknownst to the population at large. We have Some mainstream news outlets, mainly smaller affiliate stations and such, as well as the expected brevy of new media orgs and even financial business pubs speculating about government purchases and ammunition shortages. Now they obviously won't jump to decrying that its all part of some manifesting plot via un/bilderberg to demilitarize the US citizenry. That remains in a more 'speculative arena' they won't voice. I can't help but think it must be terribly uncomfortable for those in power to risk awkward questions from some overzealous new journalist that hasn't yet understood the fourth branch is now propaganda spewing lapdogs. As more and more citizens in the past few months have suddenly had to contemplate the possibility they might have fewer & fewer options by which to defend themselves, yet still more eyes have but merely peeked open. They remain sleepy sheep by and large but there exists now a growing sentiment of significant discord in the force..uhm where'd I go. Oh yeah. So anyhoo, it's debatable of course whether our trajectory can be realigned or not but the question remains how many will join in solidarity and stand for individual freedom or just accept their government bread and proceed like lemmings to the cliff. We had a dog. Pfft where I grew up up north you'd have a dead dog & an empty house without an alarm too. We had perimeter alarms on all the fence lines and gates with outdoor sirens & floodlights. Pissed our neighbors off especially the one that kept stealing stuff off our back deck. Wish wildgame cameras had been as cheap then as now. There is no one solution, its a combo of precautions to make it as difficult & undesirable for them to target you vs the other guy without all your deterrents. Unless you're home to actively repel an attempt nothing is guaranteed to stop a determined person. If they're that determined you've made some mistake to motivate them. I've been having that issue on/off for the past two weeks. Sometimes when I'm scrolling through like pg2 or3 of 'view new content' I hit the next page # at the bottom and it'll revert back to the pg1 'just items I follow' being checked & 'content I have not read'. I noticed it around the time we could use tapatalk again. Never had that problem before that I can recall. Someone else suggested that if you exit tapatalk from the 'participating' filter it might be contributing. But it will happen randomly when I'm on the desktop for 30min all of a sudden.
