  1. I agree with your logic minus the fact that one is a lot more compact and convenient to carry. A collapsible baton is very small and I would venture to say my old duty baton would easily function as a pry bar for any situation. I would highly recommend you find an ASP baton locally and see exactly what I mean. A pry bar is simply an improvised weapon and unweildy at that.
  2. Leather is nice and all but pretty expensive. Can anyone recommend any of those nylon, range, instructors belts? Blackhawk, 5.11, Galco, Uncle Mikes, etc I'd like a belt that is good for all occasions whether I'm carrying or not aswell.
  3. Bestline on Twitter.."Russel Wilson becomes the 1st NFL QB to throw the game winning interception."SMH
  4. If any of you watched the Seahawks vs Packers game tonight - you know exactly what I am talking about. That is by far the worst game I have ever seen in my life! I have watched football my entire life and I can't help how I feel now. This is a travesty! I have seen a lot of bad games and bad calls but nothing even comes close to touching the calls made in this game. Those of you who haven't seen the game probably think I am being petty but you have to see this game for yourself. It is unbelievable! Heck, just watch the highlights! I am boycotting the NFL until things get fixed. Unbelievable...
  5. And I wonder if police training (former leo) with a baton in another state is adaquate. Sent from my HTC Inspire using Tapatalk 2

  7. Who else didn't read the article and looked at Dolomites response first? lol
  8. Perhaps a person could get some surgery to dig out a chunk of their hip to avoid printing at all
  9. I just have to say from experience - in order for a hatchet or tomahawk to deliver a lethal blow... It's going to get stuck, lol! Also, there is no "slashing" with an axe. If it's that sharp it's going in deeper... aka SUPER stuck. On top of that, no amount of slashing will kill a zombie - they don't bleed out and even a human won't bleed out fast. EDIT: And as a final note a sharp axe dulls very quickly!
  10. Forget a bayonet, tomahawk, and crowbar! I'd take a collapsible baton! A whack to the head is absolutely lethal. You wouldn't have to worry about it "sticking" or getting caught on anything. Plus it makes an excellent pry bar if you get in a bad place. On top of it all, its COLLAPSIBLE and lightweight - especially compared to what you guys are talking about. You could swing it for a much longer time. It's perfect - I don't know why you don't see them more in zombie movies. It makes so much sense. I guess its too boring for the movies...
  11. Not that I wanted to carry that way but you gotta do whatcha gotta do! Crossbreed takes several weeks to make you a holster! I haven't done that much as I open carry most of the time in a Safariland ALS holster.
  12. Crossbreed Supertuck Deluxe all day long. Just got an email today saying its on its way in the mail. I carry a full size M&P 9mm and have been carrying it inside of my waistband, no holster (nothing in the chamber) for about a month now. Based on how well it conceals this way I have no doubt the crossbreed will work great. Ive had a crossbreed before and they are extremely comfortable to the point I forget i am even wearing it. Ill tell you how mine works when it comes in a couple of days. Sent from my HTC Inspire using Tapatalk 2
  13. I was wondering if there was a particular process for vendor applications. A friend of mine has been emailing weekly for over a month now in hopes of becoming a TGO Vendor and hasn't had any response. Is there another way to get a hold of forum administration besides email that he may have overlooked? I have his phone number and name if any forum admin would like to PM me if that would be easier. Please let me know, thanks and God Bless!
  14. This is largely due in part to the technical informativeness of Dolomite. For the record, I bought a Colt AR-15 for patrol (only AR-15 on the list) before I ever came to these forums and I don't regret it. However if I were to buy another AR-15 it would definitely be a S&W M&P 15 based on all of the information and the glowing reports I've read on these forums. My old duty pistol was a S&W 5906 and my current CCW is a S&W M&P 9mm full size. You cannot hold either of these pistols without recognizing the quality, design, and attention to detail that S&W built into them. Besides this, S&W has a warranty that can not be compared to any other gun manufacturer out there - not that you'll ever need it!

  16. I find this interesting simply due to the fact that on average most people don't get enough liquids during the day. I wonder what will happen if someone dies of dehyration. Thats some serious liability! Amazing! Sent from my HTC Inspire using Tapatalk 2
  17. I know what you mean. I've got 20/20 and I think the circle reticle messed with my eyes and turned the dot into fractal art! I love how everyone says that "you can't go wrong with either one, its just whatever you like." That being said, I like: optics covers, battery life, and !
  18. I've had both of those exact same optic. I compared and contrasted them over a period of about a month. I chose the Aimpoint because: Battery Life - I haven't turned mine off since I bought it (always ready) Simpler Reticle - Id rather have a single bright dot in a high stress situation (EoTech too busy for my taste) Optics Covers - They all come with water/dust proof optics covers (nice for storage) Build Quality - I feel the Aimpoint was built a lot better and the design seems less prone to damage
  19. I'm sure this kind of post has been made before, but I'd like to see what everyone else carries in their CCW. Post what kind of ammunition you carry and your reasoning for carrying that load. Right now I'm carrying CCI Speer Gold Dot 124gr in 9mm. I like the brand mostly because of it's reputation. The round is bonded and it expands very consistently. I picked the 124 gr version because I am paranoid about over penetration compared to higher grain rounds. I do not use +P as I do not want additional penetration and especially recoil. My carry gun has a 4.25" barrel so I don't need the extra velocity anyway. The only complaint I have is that I cannot find this ammo locally. What's the deal with that?
  20. I agree with you all day long. I open carry all the time too. Plus right now I don't really have a choice; I just got a new carry gun. I'm waiting for my crossbreed supertuck in the mail. I do whatever I'm most comfortable with. If I know in advance that I'm going somewhere there's going to be a lot of sheeple (women and children), I use a concealment holster. If I find myself at a place like that unexpectedly, I just pull my shirt over my gun and print like I've got 90's brick cell phone strapped to my hip. In regards to open carry, no one has ever said anything negative to me about it and I've never gotten any bad looks. Perhaps its the size of the gun or maybe its my personality, lol. It's always very well received. When people do talk to me about it they always explain that they're happy that people other than crumbs are carrying too. My favorite is when they explain that they've been meaning to get their permit for a long time. I actually know quite a few now that I'm proud to say HAVE gotten their permits after a little guidance and encouragement. And don't worry, they conceal carry - wouldn't want to scare anyone! 21. I can find them locally OTD for less than $400 but theyre probably not in unfired condition. No bayonet has got to hurt the value, I dont know why people do that. Sent from my HTC Inspire using Tapatalk 2
  22. I find that very odd.
  23. The only problem I see with the 7.62x54r is that I would shoot corrosive surplus through it which would suck being as expensive as the rifle is. It would be a different story if the gun were used/old/surplus. Sent from my HTC Inspire using Tapatalk 2
