  1. Like I said, never carried to the show before, therefore never noticed the sign. I will surely unload it in the car. Thanks, all.
  2. I understand if it is loaded, it cannot be handled. . .but why does it need to stay concealed?
  3. So, at every gun show before they let you enter if you are carrying any firearms, you have to have your guns checked to make sure they are unloaded. And then they put a zip tie through the action to keep them safe and prevent you from loading them. My question is: Is it the expectation (if you have a valid HCP and are carrying your firearm) that you unload your weapon in the car and have then check an already empty gun at the table OR can you unload your weapon at the table? Haven't actually carried to a show yet, but just wondering.
  4. went to a Great American show in Clinton, TN. very disappointed.
  5. Just got a call from my LGS, that they found my Springfield EMP 9mm at their local distributor and it is shipping here. It will be in my hands this Friday. I am psyched!
  6. go over to the Bersachat.com forum and ask this question. I know those guys over there could help to answer. I, too, am a BT380 owner and love it.

  8. hello from Knox.
  9. +1 to everyone's comments. I own a BT380 (standard model). My wife and I take turns using it as our EDC weapon. Shot about 300+ rounds through it, no issues. Great little pistol for the money. I got ours at a local gun show for $250. Very reliable and accurate, fun to shoot.
  10. no witnesses, no video cams. . .I say it's a clean shoot!
  11. welcome, fellow K-town resident
  12. I see you live in S. KNoxville. . .go to Coal Creek Armory (out west). . .you can shoot many Glocks and Springfields. . .they have them to rent. I think they also have 1 M&P and Storm. Not sure of all the compact or Sub-C sizes you are looking for, but at least you can get a feel for most of them. . .then make your decision personally, I am an XD guy.
  13. welcome. . .i am also a Knoxvillian. . . .
  14. so just to be clear, if I see a sign like that and I have my HCP and I am carrying, then I can walk right on past it without any worries about legal prosecution?
  15. Welcome, neighbor. Knoxville here
  16. So, I am defninitely in the market for a Springfield EMP 9mm. I might be having the $$ available within a week or 2. None of the shops around me have one in stock. What would be the best way to go about getting this little gem? Have local gun shop order it, buy from online distributor or retailer (such as Bud's Gun Shop, Davidson's, Gunbroker.com) Or, I guess, I could order from Springfield Direct. Any suggestions or other options?
  17. +1. . .try before you buy. . .but a few good names to shop for, that has a lot of options. . .Springfield, Colt, Ruger, S&W, Kimber
  18. Welcome, brother. I, too, live in K-town.
  19. if you have budget issues, also consider ammo. . ..40 ammo is more costly than 9mm. Sigma has too much bad reputation for problems, even if the new ones are fixed, still the bad rep follows it. That is basically why the M&P series was released. Ruger P-series is a good solid gun. Maybe you should consider shopping around a little bit more. Can't come up with another $300 gun off the top of my head, but I am sure they are out there
  20. I did attend. Much, much smaller than the RK shows usually held at Knox Expo Center or Chillhowee Park. Admission was $8. Not a great selection. it seemed to me that there were more private collectors trying to sell used stuff compared to actual dealers trying to sell NIB stuff. Lots of older style revolvers and rifles. Not a great amount of accessories or ammo. I did not see anything that was a real deal. I probably won't attend again.
  21. +1 EMP. . .the next on my list
  22. +1 Springfield. . .check them out online. . .huge selection. I like the Loaded Models.
  23. Different promoter than the RK Shows. Might just check it out.
  24. So just saw this YouTube video on XDTalk about a guy open-carry in Eugene, OR and was detained by the police. Give it a watch and then answer as the laws apply in TN. He states that in OR he is not required to show any type of ID to the police and he didn't. In TN, if we open carry, are we required to show ID to police if they stop us and ask for it. Just curious. PS. Hope the link works, it is my first time trying to post it.
  25. Great price. . .the best other pricing I have seen is $60
