1. We are near Clarksville and boat on the Cumberland. We see that a lot. On sundays when the sandbar is jam packed the will circle a couple of times LOL. It was some kind of training or exercise, and yes they were watching you. The really cool sight is when they fly over in those big Chinooks (sp) double rotor ones with  the side door open and you can see the guys in them waving. I imagine sometimes they get a special wave  ....(.)(.)..... :usa:
2. How do you guys store your garden stock for the winter? Do you like to can? like to freeze? One style for some stuff and one style for other stuff? I took inspiration for the other thread and learned to make pickle and canned some jam. I also tried canning some squash and also put some up with the food saver. The food saver did not seem to like the amount of water left in the squash after the blanching though so I am wondering if canning is not better.
3. That was cool, I wouldn't have thought about that particular song, but it gave me a chuckle.
4. Well, if they are fast a .22 won't get it done because knee cap shots to create obstacles to slow them down will be important. Weapons wit a giggle switch will be very import, I refer you to the knee cap shots.
5. the past few MRE's I have got sucked. They did not have a desert or candy or the all important hot sauce. I don't know if the gubmint has got cheap or my military surplus guy is ripping me off.
6. Dude I wish I did to! It was years ago, I was with my FIL. It might not have been so funny if the guy had mot made such a production of having the damn thing there, and then he just blasted the thing on the very first shot.
7. I saw this very thing happen at Cheatham WMA one time. The old guy announced to everyone at the range he was going to set up his new chrono and all were welcome to use it. He un-boxed it set it up, then promptly blew it to hell with a .357 wheel gun. it looked like a helicopter exploded with all the pieces fluttering down. I thought I was going to piss all over myself I was laughing so hard.
8. Do you have yours on the same rail? I had the same issue with mine and they were both sightmark product so I just assumed my hand guard rail was a bit lower than my receiver.   Hi jack over sorry.    Your rifle looks great, Is that a Magpul hand guard?
9. We have squash coming out our ears, cucumbers are right behind them. Starting to pick a couple of handfuls of okra every time out to check them. We just found some beans on the poles today so they will be ready in a few days, we have decided to harvest these a couple of times then resow for another crop a little later. There are bunch of blooms on the melons but no fruit yet. our pepper plants are small but producing. We are trying sweet ivory peppers this year and are excited about that. We canned some squash a couple of weeks ago as well at our first attempt at dill pickles. We used a commercial brine mix and did not like them so today we put up 6 more jars of pickles with a homemade brine this time that smelled awesome. There are a ton of big tomatoes but none red yet.
10. None that we have ever noticed. I will say this though. I ordered some .223 during the craziness and I got it in a timely manner but it was a little rough looking. It has fired fine but it looked rushed through, the brass had not been cleaned as well as usual.
11. Ugly? Maybe. Awesome? Hell yeah! I love mine, It is accurate as hell and a blast to shoot. Add a cheap red dot, a light and an AFG and you have all the tacticool zombie slaying badassery you can stand for less than $350. Then you figure in the lifetime of the gun no questions warranty and you can't loose. I love mine  :usa:
12. Same here> I have seen a few, Mostly .40 and .45 going for around 325. The 9mm, being the most rare I believe usually goes for around 349. That being said, I just bought one of the old style for 2 bones and a TS stock and mag straight from "mom" for 55 bucks.
13. We have used a ton of the 9 and .223 they offer and it al shot well. We do have trouble with the .380 because of the flat nose on that round. we get a lot of FTF issues with it.
14. Fantastic! That's the way to be a mentor right there!
15. Our beans did nothing this year. They thrived got blooms then nothing. They are hardy and cover the poles but no beans. I am going to pull them in a couple of weeks and replant to try for a fall crop.
16. Our neighbor came over today and walked up on us (my 14yr old daughter and myself) in the garage where we were cleaning a couple of rifles. He got a puzzled look on his face and asked if I was making her do that. She politely said no that she was cleaning her rifle while I cleaned mine. He looked more puzzled and asked why in the world was such a pretty girl worried about hunting. She explained that she could not be less interested in hunting, that she had other reasons for learning to shoot. When he asked what they were she very boldly quoted a picture she found on the internet that she, and her mom, both like....... I could not have been more proud. I am hoping that this will discourage the neighbors son from comming around so much to LOL
17. Wow, you built those. How did you know how to shape the baffles? Are they aluminum?
18. Wow! That seems labor intensive. Is that the norm for cleaning them?
19. I made wax slugs, the intended purpose is to make me giggle as crap they hit explode, and no I have never had any wax left in the barrel.
20. That is brilliant! I wish I had ideas like that.
21. My BIL has the Walther and it really has the same problems. It runs fine on MInimags but nothing else
22. but I thought I would post anyway. I went out for a bit today and did some thrift store shopping. I came across these three items.... So I used them to make a few of these..... I also made a couple of these... I have never seen the cap put back on but I thought I would try it, unless anyone here has some reason not to. At the end of the process I also discovered that you could do this with the left over wax and bb's.... Now I have a ready made wax cake waiting on the next batch.
23. I like it. Just be careful knife making becomes addicting. Just ask my wife, you can't open a drawer in our house without finding one of my knives lol.
24. Congtrats dude! I have always said you can get by with a car but a truck is really a work force on 4 wheels.
