  1. I just read about this on another forum and missed it here. Does not surprise me. I have not darkened their door in years. Maybe why I am receiving those big percent off coupons, received 20% jus this AM. They are trying to create cash. https://bearingarms.com/beth-b/2017/02/16/national-sporting-goods-store-is-filing-for-bankruptcy/ http://www.wvgazettemail.com/news-business/20170218/gander-mountain-questions-latest-twist-to-outdoor-retailer-story http://www.startribune.com/gander-mountain-responds-to-bankruptcy-rumors/413849013/ http://www.morrisherald-news.com/2017/02/13/gander-mountain-the-latest-victim-of-internet-age/aidib77/
  2. Some people react to negative situation with negative attitudes, while others still are very positive. I say again, customer service is about the person period without conditions.
  3. I for one don't place a lot of value on customer service, its just my style, I think its over hyped. But what I do know, I don't think its the sign on the business that makes the customer service, but who the person is providing the service. Example, take the manager who the OP dealt with at Home Depot, and put him at Lowes, I bet you would get the same caring customer service at Lowes. Or take him and put him at Sears, Tractor Supply, or the local tire store, and the customer service barometer will always be high.
  4. Here is some reviews on Academy's web site: http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/winchester-usa-forged-9mm-luger-115-grain-handgun-ammunition
  5. Bump don't forget 9pm tonight!
  6. No problem here with Kellyanne. Once everything is fixed, and we have nothing else to do, maybe then I will pay attention. Goofball or not, its a welcome relief over what we had. I think she is nothing more than a puppet for President T anyway saying and doing what he wants her to do. I think at times she is the intended bait for the media. A distraction. We have bigger issues to worry about than Ms. Kellyanne!
  7. I shoot what I shoot, I love what I love. Reloading is just a byproduct of this affection. In other words the tail of reloading does not wag the gun that I love. Cost savings is not why I reload 80% of the time.
  8. This is a classic Ford vs. Chevrolet debate. When a decision is very difficult, and if the funds allow, buy both. As for me, Sig all the way. Love my recent purchase of the P320 compact in FDE 45acp.
  9. Yes, CB 22 short 29 grain 710fps, $9.47 + tax.
  10. Walmart Madisonville had a probably 20+ 100 round boxes of CCI. I was just put on the shelf Saturday morning, the reason I know, I witnessed it and bought a box.
  11. Shot placement might be a subject that would go in parallel with OP.

    Sig 226 or?

There is a reason they have named that irresistible urge to buy more than just one Sig, and it is called Signess. I have 3 West German Sigs, and have many more non-West German, and "I" for one from a technical point of view cannot explain or detect any difference. I admit the nostalgia of a West German is very high though. To me the Sigs are about craftsmanship, and high quality. They are on the heavy side, which makes any recoil low. Sigs are just beautiful guns that will get the job done.
  13. I guess I have to state I was being facetious or maybe tittering on a slight satire.
  14. I agree with MacGyver, however the market is what the market is. I do suspect during this tax time, we will see some crazy low prices since everyone is over-stocked and the market is saturated. Supply and demand principals will mostly certainly be in wide action.
  15. Good question for a fair market, but a couple of the milkmen got together and colluded with one another to raise prices. That is not a fair market when competitors conspire to raise prices.
  16. This is a public service announcement, you have until Jan 31, 2017 to file a claim if you want to be apart of the settlement. http://www.boughtmilk.com/ Here is more detail: http://time.com/4636627/bought-milk-cwt-lawsuit/ http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2017/01/18/you-could-get-money-back-if-you-bought-milk/96710340/
  17. You should have been apart of the 1st wave back in the early 90s when TN first introduced this process. It took close to 6 mos.
  18. I don't know, parts are parts, aren't they? When I mash the throttle it goes, that is all that matters isn't it? Both use gasoline, and both will get me from point A to point B. We are just talking about formed metal aren't we? Or are you really saying that there are engineering specification differences with the parts, not to be confused with quality. Quality is making something to the optimum designated engineering specification. Additionally, are you saying it matters where parts are made and made by whom?
  19. After reading through these posts you all have convinced me that I should just apply the same logic and go ahead and buy that 2017 Chevrolet Spark at $13K vs. that Toyota Avalon that I was looking for at $42K. I was wanting a daily driver that I could drive for the next 15 years, and put 300K miles on it, and drive it to Cali if I wanted to with no fear. Heck if that GM car breaks down its cheap enough to replace the parts. Parts are parts. Its just 4 tires and molded sheet metal isn't it with a motor inside? Thanks guys, you just saved me some dough.
  20. Received my letter today as well, too late to swing by the courthouse. I will try in the AM.
  21. Well it is done. Purchased new yesterday, Sig P320C FDE 45ACP:
  22. I try to purchase at minimum 1 gun per year, combine this approach with the excitement and patriotism of the 45th president being sworn in coupled with a couple of work buddies buying guns this week, then the release of the Sig P320 won the army contract, and knowing that a run will almost certainly pursue, I was doomed, and too weak to holdout. So I pulled the trigger yesterday midday, its the Sig P320C FDE in 45ACP. The FDE is refreshing amongst the sea of black that I have. If the rain will clear out today, I plan to go shooting.
