  1. Yep, what Erik said. Lipseys had several models done in gray a month or so ago.
  2. I'm a Glock guy so when I ran across a 17 in the new gray finish I had to have one of the ugly things. I like the new color. Since I can't leave anything alone I did a couple things to it today. Did a little trigger work, installed stainless parts, FO front sight and decided to polish the barrel. Doesn't look too bad. They also had a few models in Barney Purple but I'm not that far gone yet. Bad cell pics.
  3. Love mine. I've got the 320C 9mm in full FDE. To be honest, the finish was one of the reasons I got it. But I'm glad I did. Really nice trigger on these. Its got a nice crisp break with no creep and hardly any over-travel. Shoots great. The more I shoot it the more I like the grip and grip texture. It carries really well too. Like you said, the modularity is a nice feature. Not a bad deal being able to change the frame to a different size for $40. I'll probably get a full size x-change kit in a different caliber for mine. And I wouldn't mind trying a sub compact frame with my compact slide.
  4. I've got a MI Gen 2 SS 15" on one of mine. It's pretty slim, they list the I.D. as 1.3".
  5. I've had a couple pocket holsters from Alabama Holsters. They're good holsters, a little more curved than other pocket holsters I've tried. With the front being smooth it helps with printing too. The hook will grab on most pockets and you also have a thumb ramp to push on to help draw.
  6. A wider 43?? That's crazy talk. It would never sell.
  7. I've bought guns from Buds and Smoky Mountain both. It pays to check both places because one is always cheaper than the other, sometimes by quite a bit. SM is getting ready to expand the gun shop again too.
  8. When I decide to pick up a 43 I'll definitely get the TTI base pads. I use their +6 on my 34 and really like them.
  9. Congrats. I've got the same one, really like the thing.
  10. I like it...very nice work.
  11. I usually won't post something like this but I needed to get it out of my system. My dog is 11. A month or so ago he jumped when he shouldn't have and messed up a few vertebra. He couldn't stand or walk on his own. We managed to get him back up and walking in couple weeks. He wasn't 100% but I was happy with what he could do. He was improving up until the last week. He started loosing too much weight too quickly and got really sluggish. Just didn't feel good enough to do anything. Went to the vet today and found out he's diabetic, and its got him in pretty bad shape. The doc is keeping him for the week to try and get his system straighten out but its not looking good. Damn, I hope they can help him. Its just been me and him for over 11 years. I hope I'll be lucky enough to get him back home. But I won't keep him going just for my sake. I can't do that to him. We'll just hope for the best right now. So if you get a chance to throw some good thoughts and mojo Bogeys way I'm sure he'd appreciate it greatly. I damn sure would. And when you get the chance, give your dog a hug.
  12. I wasn't a Glock fan at all until I tried a Gen 4 G19. I own 5 of the d@mn ugly things now.

  14. I don't know anybody close to Morristown doing kydex work. I met the guys from Fury at a gun show but don't think they do knife sheaths. Their holsters are nice though. One of the guys at Buds said a guy in Sevierville was getting into kydex but I haven't heard who it is.   Like OS, I've used Al Welke several times and think he does great work.
  15. Glad you got the Fender back. Those are great old amps.

  19. I like those, looks great.
  20. I'd been thinking about getting one since we talked. I like it and so has everybody that's shot it. Still kinda surprised how good the trigger is on it. I did sell my G26 but the rest of the Glocks are stayin'.
  21. I just picked up an FNS 9 compact. I like everything thing about it but I shoot low with it. I let two other guy shoot it and they were both dead on so I know it's me doing it. Gonna have to work with it some more.
  22.   Me too. I have a G42 and pocket carry it but that's about as big as I can go. I like the G43 but I couldn't comfortably pocket carry it.
  23. I need to stay out of gun shops. Stopped by one of my LGS today. Had an FNS 9C put in my hand and thought....might as well take it home. Got a good price on it so it didn't hurt too bad. Nice trigger on it and I like the fact it comes with two 12 round (one flat base and one with pinky extension) mags and one 17 rounder with an extension. Had planned on going to the range tomorrow so I'll get to try it out.
  24. Congrats! Sooner or later I'm gonna end up buying one of those.
