  1. This is pretty much all any reasonable person needs to know.
  2. You pretty much get it. During reappraisal years the county property tax rate must be adjusted so that it is “revenue neutral” as a result of the reappraisal. In other words the County cannot use a reappraisal to increase the taxes they take in for that year. What it does mean is that some people will be paying more, others less. Oh, and they can start jacking tax rate the following the year if they so desire to actually increase government income. Edit for one more point of clarification. The county appraises properties then assesses a tax. So this technically is a reappraisal. Tax on residential property is assessed on 25% of every $100 of appraised value at whatever your county tax rate is. You can also dispute the reappraisal if you want.
  3. Knox County gave everybody the whammy last year.
  4. Happy to hear they caught that and got it taken care of! Also glad that I go to an excellent dentist every 6 months that might catch something like that.
  5. https://www.springfield-armory.com/m1a-series-rifles/m1a-scout-squad-rifles/m1a-scout-squad-308-rifle/ This is what you need. Save up some more cause they’ve gone crazy with prices. There’s a plastic stock version as well but it’s not much cheaper.

That boat sailed a couple of hundred years ago along with everything else. They started working around the Constitution after it was adopted.

What is the problem here? The government already has absolute authority to seize assets, monitor financial activity, or whatever else they please regarding every single person who uses a bank or any other kind of financial institution. If not by outright authority, then by regulation and warrants. So what if the Fed spins up their own instant transfer system?
  8. The word y’all are looking for is enbloc. GLWS!
  9. The hillbilly ninja Diemon Dave?
  10. That show of his was something else. Never failed to entertain…or make you lose all hope for humanity.
  11. Apparently, east coast islands are silly with wild horses. Assateague Island in a national seashore is what I was actually thinking of.
  12. Amelia Island is what I was thinking of.
  13. Is that the island where wild horses roam?
  14. Good on both firings! Maybe more will come. I know that’s silly thinking but I am in fact an optimist. Get rid of all the loudmouth, lying instigators.
  15. Whatever happened to the “gun crime means hard time” program and mantra? Used to be billboard up everywhere and even commercials on TV. Oh wait, they weren’t serious and no one wanted to enforce and pay for it. That was all before the term “gun violence” was even invented.
  16. No, not what you think so don’t even start. I’ve had my Dad’s big old Craftsman toolbox full of tools for years. It’s rare that I even look into it because I already have a decent collection of my own. But today I needed 3/8 socket extension to reach a bolt that was about inaccessible. Looked in his toolbox and found exactly what I needed! The state of those old tools is a disgrace. Most is old “real” Craftsman that really needs some attention. What’s a good way to clean them up?
  17. There is a Krystal’s within walking distance of the Lowe’s in west Knoxville.
  18. It is a very biased term with only one goal, the eradication of guns from society. It also implies that other forms of violence are acceptable or otherwise cannot be controlled.
  19. Like it made it to the PD, lol. CBD is widely available and totally legal in various forms…and helps with things like that.
  20. One of those old retired guys that work there is probably looking for his stuff, lol.
  21. To be honest I had no problems with Bredesen but everyone is losing their minds so fast that the moderation of his term that ended a mere 12 years ago and that of Haslam’s that ended in 2019 is really quite astounding.
