  1. Sadly, this foolishness is going on everywhere in this country. No community is spared. Did anyone even notice where this happened? It's BFE Nebraska!!!
  2. Please, join the discussion. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/51986-zero-tolerance-gone-insane-the-official-sign-language-sign-for-his-name-is-2-fingers-like-a-gun/
  3. Seek out the 100 round Federal value packs at WalMart. Great ammo and several $ cheaper than Winchester value packs buy $4-5. Privi makes great ammo and shipped this is cheaper than the 100 round Federals packs at WalMart after tax. http://www.sgammo.co...izan-ammo-ppr40
  4. The Republicans best tread lightly with talk of cutting SS and Medicare for the next 20-30 years or so. Something that is not often mentioned and probably not realized by many is the impact of the Baby Boomer generation. That 77 million strong contingent of the population born between 1946 and 1964 is starting to hit the retirement years and want what they have been promised and have payed for their entire lives.
  5. I've been wanting to experiment with this for some time now so I stopped by Kroger's after work and picked up a 24 piece box of Crayolas for 50 cents with that stupid value card they make you use. I'll tell you one thing, if you have Glocks in both 9mm and the Mighty .40 filling in the caliber designation on the magazines rocks! Haven't done a gun yet but it's ridiculously easy.
  6. Crayola still makes a fine crayon.
  7. Shoot it until it breaks then maybe the local PD will have one of those gun buybacks where you can turn it in for grocery money. Or become a benefactor here and post it in the classifieds.
  8. It is not illegal to carry in a church in TN. It might be against the rules to "vary" depending on the congregation.
  9. Junk. Cast receivers if I'm not mistaken.
  10. Could not agree more.
  11. Like Chandler's, probably a place you want to go to for Lunch.
  12. Get an original if you really want one, there are plenty out there. Those AO replicas will never hold their value like the real thing. 30+ years of Plainfields, Universals and Iver Johnsons prove that. Even if they are of "equal quality" one is USGI the other is not. New does not = equal.
  13. The rule is whatever the first officer you meet tells you it is.
  14. Seems to be something missing from your post but why buy a knock-off when you can get an original?
  15. I imagine both will be packed with the NASCAR crowd when there is a race.
  16. I don't think distance necessarily a sniper makes.
  17. One of the most successful snipers in history was Lyudmila Pavlichenko with 309 confirmed kills. WWII Russian using a Mosin with a measly 3.5x scope.
  18. You're on the right track with a Marlin 336. Don't have any experience with the newer models but they are a traditional favorite for good reason. They are very accurate, well made and can be easily scoped if desired. If I'm not mistaken there's one in the classifieds right now.
  19. This. If you can't shoot the most expensive "sniper of the day" rifles aren't worth a hoot. Same goes for just about any other gun.
  20. Allow me, baja....
  21. You from the West side too?
  22. What's wrong with the grip safety?
  23. Of the suggestions made so far disregard Famous Dave's and Calhoun's as they both suck. Sonny's probably does to as it's a national chain and I refuse to eat there. Buddy's does put out a consistent product, it's more or less a fast food joint and seems to be a local favorite, but the meat is somewhat over-powered with hickory taste. It's taken me about 20 years to fully embrace it. OP, I'd hate to be in your shoes catering BBQ in a client's hometown when you know nothing of what's available. Fortunately, this is not West Tennessee where they take such things much more seriously.
  24. Sir, the topic is BBQ in Knoxville.
