  1. I thought this thread was about music! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXh4EuJa2TU
  2. Until they dig some more up over in Russia or Eastern Europe to import there ain't no $100 (or less) M44's. That supply is dried up for now. 91/30's were unavailable for most of the summer until more were imported at the nice price - that being $80 or so for C&R holders, $129 more or less for the rest of us. If you're lucky, like I was at a gunshow a few weeks ago, you'll find them for a lot less that $229 from people walking around.
  3. I really have no opinion on the guy. I could just care less and rapidly grew tired of all the Tiger hero worship. He plays golf. Whooptie-doo.
  4. Any particular reason? The Walther PPK is a classic. Has served Europeans well enough for many years and is James Bond. Great gun, questionable round.
  5. I'll trade you two 80' Oak trees that like to wait until all the other trees have fallen. One still have some leaves on it!
  6. Appreciate that but the yard is in order. Wanna check out this show Sunday?
  7. I blew leaves and hauled them around all day. It was worth it! Sunday is another day.....
  8. My understanding is that .380 hollow points don't expand much at all and actually have less penetration than FMJ's. In something like a .380 which is not exactly "powerful" penetration is key. Google around for "380 hollow point". There are some tests out there on the Interweb thing.
  9. Don't have a P238 myself but have you tried a different brand of FMJ? I know it's hard to find a variety but... So far my LCP cycles Fiocchi and Prvi Partisan flawlessly, about 250-275 rounds now. That's all I have to offer. As far as hollow-points go, I wouldn't fool with them in a .380. They have no penetration and very little expansion.
  10. I could give a about Tiger Woods. If this is his downfall, then so be it. It's about time. When the true story comes out let me know. Then I might be interested.
  11. Maybe next weekend? I picked up a riot gun on the way back from Memphis today that needs attention. I have several bottles of water in the freezer waiting for the next range trip.
  12. My bad. I assumed you admitted fault in mishandling the 1911.
  13. JMB is b****-slapping you from the beyond.
  14. Was wondering how long it'd take you to catch on.
  15. I want a cross-bow pistol. Is there anything better than the $20 plastic things for that?
  16. Brits get whatever kind of surgery they want if they pay for it. I'm wondering if my insurance would cover destroying my unit, if that's what the case is - I refuse to read the story. It unnerves me.
  17. I cannot read the article. Have already put 2 and 2 together and this ain't right! Disturbing is putting it mildly.
  18. Alright, I'm not driving to Memphis tomorrow to be with my people. Either going to Bluemax's or Motasyco's. Who'll have me?
  19. Unless the original finish is beyond repair do not refinish it. Regardless of how cheap Mosin's are (at least 91/30's) you screw it up, then whatever value it has, however little it may be, just got thrown out the window. Look at the prices of M44's now since the supply dried up. Mosin stocks are finish in shellac. Denatured alcohol will strip it right off. Once again I do not recommend that unless it is beyond repair. Get your Scott's or Murphy's and clean it up. Or just leave it alone - you'll clean all the character out of it. Mosins do have cartouches on the stock, what they all mean is anyone's guess, but you start stripping, sanding or whatnot, they're gone. I speak from experience.
  20. If Scott's is safe to use on Shellac it should work fine.
  21. W-I-T-H would anyone listen to Christmas music when it's not even Thanksgiving?
  22. Apparently the memo got from the marketing dept to the on-line forum department: Holiday Messaging - Best Buy Forum Thanks for sharing your point of view regarding our recent ad, which included a wish for a “Happy Eid al-Adhaâ€. Best Buy’s customers and employees around the world represent a variety of faiths and denominations. We respect that diversity and choose to greet our customers and employees in ways that reflect their traditions. We do use the word “holiday†in some of our advertising because it is meant to be inclusive to everyone. However, just as we have in the past, we will also reference specific holidays such as Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa in our weekly ads, store signage and other advertising vehicles. We encourage our employees to interact with customers naturally and feel free to wish them a Merry Christmas if they are celebrating that holiday. Thanks again for your feedback. ~Elizabeth Community Supervisor Best Buy® Corporate I loathe Best Buy to begin with, but they better bring some "MERRY CHRISTMAS" messages between now and then since we don't even rate a "Happy Thanksgiving"
