  1. Is Saturday still a go? I need to blow something up with the 3" Magnum Buckshot I bought today, try out the new Mosin M44 and let Mike.357 shoot my Bearcat...bought some .22 Shorts at Wally-World today just for it.
  2. WTF are you people talking about? Last I heard this was about some gun store commando.
  3. As long as you're not inside of any city limits (or next to a new subdivision filled with a bunch of ass-hats), are on private land and have the owner of said land's consent, you're good to go.

    WADDAYATHANK?

2-300 yards is way out there for a 22lr. Like ^ said, No.
  5. I guess Thunderwear is out of the question. LOL
  6. There is no excuse for the clerk's handling of that weapon...none whatsoever. I don't care what his experience level may or may not be or whether the gun is loaded or not, that is completely unacceptable behavior.
  7. I remember that day well...since it was my fault you got scolded. The range was just called HOT. You and 70below were jabbering away about I don't know what at the next bench. I was all geared up to shoot but wasn't sure if it was time yet so I was staring at you guys trying to figure it all out. The Range Master saw this and then proceeded to shut you up.
  8. I wonder if the boy was striking up a doobie in the basement and blew the place up.
  9. I actually heard the explosion from 4.5 miles away. For some reason I was awake when it happened. The sad thing is....some "neighbor" who lives on the other side of that house posted on the KNS website they smelled gas all afternoon. Apparently didn't call anyone. What a douche.
  10. See my reply over in that 303 thread. Based on your pics and markings that rifle was demilled at one time.

    .303 British

DP = Drill Purpose. That great big hole just forward of the receiver indicates that it was drilled at one time, probably to demil the rifle. Is there a hole there going all the way into the barrel? The barrel may have been replaced to turn it back into a shooter. Do you know if it was ever fired? You definitely need to find a competant Enfield smith to look at it. You might also contact Century Arms International as they where the importer (CAI ST.A VT). Maybe they have some info on it.
  12. The Guns & Gear Expo is this weekend (12-13) so you can do both. It's hit or miss with the guys at John Sevier. I've never had a problem with them but some others around here have. I would be happy to destroy a keg for you. Full or empty. But there is a no alcohol policy there so if you're one of those unlucky types who would cause the Man to come up there and he sees that thing you might have some extra 'splaining to do. I think as long as everything is cleaned up, as we always do, and nothing extra stoopid goes on to agitate some other shooters, it's all good, in a not supposed to do it but nobody cares kinda way
  13. DAG is German.....need pics!
  14. Very nice! I still think Mosin's are the butt-ugliest guns ever created but I have soooo much fun shooting mine!
  15. I have no idea what they're talking about but that's some good TV (or whatever you call it on the interweb)! It's really amazing how fast a trained marksman can operate a bolt action. Just ask whoever went up against the British and their Enfields. They were trained to fire something like 30 rounds/minute from their Smellys.
  16. I left that out 'cause sometimes there's a smokin' hot chick there selling bullet jewelry she makes.
  17. For those of us Knoxville-area TGO'ers who cannot attend the Main Event in Winchester and must be subjected to Beef Jerky, gutter-guards, cheap-ass pocket knives, flowery gun cases, jars of pickled eggs, and if we're lucky Egyptian cotton sheets.... I propose meeting at the doors at 9:30 AM. Some have mentioned breakfast before but don't know if I can make that. I am on a mission to sleep past 8:00 just for once!
  18. So Glocks blow up even without ammo. Interesting.
  19. All I've used in mine is Silver Bear FMJ and HP's they function flawlessly. Haven't tried any other brands. Mine ejects shells with authority. They go as far out of the side as the bullet goes down range. LOL
  20. So round-trip time from Knoxville is 6 hours 6 minutes, 3 hours 46 minutes from Goodlettsville. Like OS said, 6 hours drive time for us. Regardless, as much as I would like to see the inaugural Guns & Gear Expo, cant really afford to burn up a whole day this time of year driving around...too much going on. I'll be at the Knoxville show around 9:30 or whatever time Mike.357 tells me to be there.
