  1. Very nice. My first pistola was/is a Smith 39. Still have it! Great gun, fun to shoot, easy to hold. The only difference is the rear sight.
  2. Hate to butt in, but I was born and raised in Midtown, so I will. Is Huey's posting? Maybe you folks can get together at one of their locations (all locally owned).
  3. I've been through the same situation with FedEx and just called the 1-800 number and had them hold my stuff at the local terminal. Sure lessens the havoc and explaining at home! I assume UPS would do the same but really don't know. Just give'm a call.
  4. How about an airsoft MP40? Very realistic looking, except that orange thing at the muzzle - could paint that. And it shoots. Looks like prices vary wildly from $100-200. Just Google airsoft MP40. Not cowboy at all but mighty cool.
  5. DSL is old school but try the following: 1. Shutown computer and power it off. Disconnect power cord from wall and computer. 2. Disconnect cable from computer to modem/router from both ends. 3. Disconnect that adapter thing from whatever it is connected to. 4. Disconnect any wires going to any wall-jacks. Wait about 15 minutes and start plugging stuff back in. In reverse order of above. Then turn everything on and try it out. If that doesn't work call support. I've been in the IT game for a long time and have seen some weird stuff when it comes to connections and diminished service. Wires get static built up in them and also just loose their strength.
  6. This thread is devolving into a theme: Gay things. Now let's get back on topic. Why do cats try to bury their poo when there's nothing to bury it with?
  7. So I was out in the garage playing with some bullets and found a round that had a questionable scratch/deformity near the rim. I thought what better time try try out my fancy new RCBS Pow'r Pull Impact Bullet Puller. Plus the boredom was driving me nuts. Stuck the thing in there and after a couple of good whacks on the floor, apart came the round. If anyone was ever curious to know what the innards of a Turkish 8mm round made in 1945 look like here you are: FYI, the bullet weighs in at 155 grs. and powder at 48.3 grs.
  8. Wild Things coulda, shoulda been one. But there was that silly plot.
  9. Michael Jackson invented the Piccolo.
  10. You are a bad, bad man and a horrible influence. I just had to go order more of that Czech stuff. Cause I like the way it smells.
  11. Oh, it's nothing. I was a tired, sleepy idiot posting too late on Saturday night.
  12. I can't imagine why anyone would live out in the suburbs either.

With a hamburger and char-grilled Nathan's hot-dog in my belly (for now, there's alot more to eat later), West Knoxville sounds like a battle ground. Now that it's dark, going out to join the neighbors for a little celebration. Did the right thing and read the Declaration of Independence this morning. That's what is all about, right? Now it's time to celebrate. Just want to wish everyone a Happy Independence Day and hope we all remember what happened in 1776, and why.
  14. True dat. Dang Nazi's! Been lookin' over my should for since '67.
  15. How do we reconcile the fact that several of us where shooting communist guns of oppression? And enjoying them! I think we all offset that with enough M1, M1 carbine and AR fire. Not to mention Rugers, S&W's, SA pistols, etc.
  16. I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a Hamburger today.
  17. Actually, my 91/30 shoots 4-6 in. to the right w/o bayonet. Dead on with pig-sticker.
  18. I learned along time ago not to do that.
  19. The Moon is blue and pixies are dancing with chipmunks on the lawn.
  20. There's some excellent information in that post but I'm out of breath. Can you hook a brother up with some paragraphs?
