  1. Magazine issues seem to follow you around! I'm no expert but I'd say the thing is worth a mint. Lugers are Lugers. Commercial or war-time production regardless. There be 4 digits in the value scale. That gun is gorgeous.
  2. The Gloved-One is gone, but dammit, how much longer will VH1 Classics keep playing the videos! I forgot how many hits he had. Really never wanted to know. VH1 has taught me that "Annie Are You Ok" is not an Alien Ant Farm song, although they do it better. The mystery wheel is in full force. Will we ever know what happened?
  3. Just an FYI, but the M1 Carbine has a free-floating firing pin just like the AR and M1 Garand. The Carbine bolt doesn't slam home with the authority of the other two, so probably no worries.

Having the bayonet attached does make an impression. Maybe even a statement! The 91/30 with poker attached is about 5'8" long. Mosins are designed to shoot with the thing on there. May just leave it that way.

I actually was going to offer but I'm not satisfied where the bullets are going so....then again, maybe you'd have better luck with it! It'll be around awhile. Maybe next time. I hate to admit it but I've been looking for 54R ammo too. Only have about 700 rounds on hand. But it's all the same kind. So my 91/30 shoots right on with pig-sticker attached. About 4-5" to the right without. What do ya'll think. Shoot with bayonet or adjust front sight?

Mike.357 and I did have a good time burning up some ammo. If my ciphering is correct, I enjoyed blowing: 70 rounds 7.62x54R 25 rounds .223 and about 20-25 rounds 5.56 100 rounds 22lr 36 rounds .380 48 rounds .45 A very satisyfing afternoon. Not too many people at the range and everyone was just having a good time. Even had nice RSO's! One fella there had a .45-70 SA revolver. That was impressive. Thanks for the kind words on my EBR, although NBR is probably more appropriate. Naughty, buy not entirely evil. Just a basic 20" job with fixed stock and A3 upper. Very traditional looking.
  7. Don't know what you're talking about, but Predators games are a good time!
  8. Welcome! If you're into guns your better off here than there.
  9. Show some pictures if you can. Does the Arisaka have the 'mum on top of the chamber?
  10. What about Alvin C. York? A Tennessean. Now back to the freak.....
  11. That's a great story. If you get the chance pay another visit to grandfather and maybe he'll tell some tales. If you can find the ammo, just go shoot the Arisaka. Same goes for the Enfield(s). Assuming they've been sitting around for years, a gunsmith "check-up" really isn't necessary. Those old bolt guns are extremely strong.
  12. I'd be happy with her Toe Jam.
  13. No kidding. That's what I call injustice.
  14. I'll never understand the "King of Pop" thing. Thriller is absolute crapola, but I'm man enough to admit that "Billie Jean" puts a little shuffle in my step. That and of course "ABC". Other than that not a fan.

    What's it worth?

IMHO, there's alot better places for your dad to put his money.
  16. Judging from the type of people who use guns illegally, I'd have to agree. Real men don't use guns to settle disagreements. What ever happened to yelling, cussing, pushing, shoving and fists?
  17. My $200 NEF pump regularly outshoots $2k O/U masterpieces at sporting clays. Your 870 and 1100's should be fine, unless you're wanting to be a Gold Cup shooter or whatever. But then again I'm cheap!
  18. That's what I'm thinking. Running Zombies are a stretch, but at least they're not those freaky, hyper-active ones. Those make me nervous.
  19. Dambit! I knew it was one of those two but didn't have the TV in front of me, just rolled the mental dice. So TLC has completely gone to he||!
  20. I'm not inclined to take pictures right now but my '43 IBM is just about my favorite gun ever. Was also the first center-fire rifle Dad handed over to me at about 13 years old. The '43 Winchester and '43 National Postal Meter carbines from CMP are just icing on the cake.
  21. I rembember when it was The Learning Channel and they actually showed Discovery/Science/Military channel-type stuff. The First 48 is the only thing I can tolerate from them now.
  22. Hopefully, today is the end of this foolishness. That shrew filed for divorce and TLC has halted production.....until they can figure out how to "revamp" the show I'm sure. Thank god I've never watched it.
  23. Soo...What's your point? She's a dirty freak?
