  1. Dusty really messed with one guy once. I heard a recording and damn near spit out my soup. And I wasn't even eating soup!
  2. If they call back just tell them a looooooong story HP. Make up some stuff about your nieces nephew being down on his luck so you loaned him your tax money. Include as many humorous antidotes about made up relations as you possibly can. I have a sneaking suspicion he will get tired of listening before you get tired of BSing.
  3. Capbyrd's Ruger addiction makes mine look like a casual habit . I have wanted a 1911 for a few years, like OS I have my calibers fairly wrapped up so adding .45 has been a love hate proposition for me though. I'm not sure which caliber I go with, but I bet it's a Ruger either way.
  4. Looks like a contender (see what I did there?) to me I don't have any experience with the company, but lots of folks rave about their pistols and rifles that can swap caliber a easily. I bet they're not too interested in putting out anything sub par. That said, bolt guns are Savages bread and butter and Rugers recent offerings are nothing to sneeze at either.
  5. Well yeah... That or, you know,
  6. Ditto. If I'm going to participate in a full contact sport with that much physical interaction I want it to be with a nekkid lady. Some of the fighters are fun to watch though, BJ Pen and George ST Pierre are polar opposite fighters but two of the most intense back when I was watching it socially.
  7. I've read before that Larry could sell a genocide with a smile. I guess he couldn't sell Garufa on his hyper automated super duper state of the art pull/pack system justifying the shipping changes. Sill neat they sent you a book shaft, when was the last time you ordered ,maybe they were doing a promo?
  8. I have heard great things about Sam. There is also Tim Calhoon (sp?) and my go to guy in the area is Jeff Walle at guns and leather. I doubt you could go wrong with any of them.
  9. On Dolomites recommendation I have used chalkboard paint and it was easy and durable. It doesn't need to be baked on, but you want to bake it on. The painting is easy, just do multiple dry coats until the finish is built on. I hit the barrel with a heat gun between oats and it seems to cut down on the time to dry between coats.
  10. Someone get this guy some ammonia nitrate and powdered aluminum!
  11. Some butt muffin just drove a truck through a crowd of people celebrating bastille day, got out and open fired before being down by the good guys. Reports are 50-60 dead, over 100 injured. This crap isn't going to stop. Condolences to the lost and their families.
  12. Organic and fertilizers and salt based ones all have their place IMO, and generally speaking should not be mutually exclusive to a given plot. The both have their pluses, negatives, and areas where they equalize in benefits. Run an all organic farm, watch your prices go up and your overall yield per meter drop, run one using only mineral salts, and given enough time you will all but kill off the microbial life which enables a plant to use a smaller amount of water and fertilizer more efficiently. The good news is, those microbes are being bred now and old depleted dirt is being turned back into live active soil. Modern agriculture is not currently, and likely won't ever be again an all or nothing deal, at least for those savvy enough to understand the soil food web, and that nitrogen doesn't always equal nitrogen, i.e.; urea based vs ammoniacal based. Urea while derived from ammonia, is not readily available to plants, even though it is very high in useable nitrogen, it DEPENDS on that microbial life to be used by a plant. ammonia based N is more easily uptake, and ammonium sulfate still more so. The funny thing there is, urea has a higher percentage of available N, but good luck getting anything to grow with it if the microbial population is done for. Agriculture is a rapidly changing science these days and an interesting one too.
  13. I did and haven't looked back yet, things like this just validate that decision for me. There re is a lot about Ca to love, but the stupid is just so rampant it hurts.
  14. Looks good Smith! I never shot a high power or owned one, but I would like a nice blued example one day to help round out the collection a bit. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say they didn't like them which is a huge rarity for any firer, but especially in the world of the handgun.
  15. Are there any registrations or licenses to buy or have a shotgun there? Is it common?
  16. The only one I can think of is an old star model B. Can't get through more than a magazine without having a double feed/stovepipng issue due to the mags allowing not just the ammo, but the follower itself too much travel room front to rear. I was finally able to correctly diagnose the issue with Dolomites help, but haven't even attempted the fix yet. I'd like to get some more mags and mess with those but they are not common. It's a cool gun, but essentially a roll of the dice past that first shot.
  17. That answers that then, thanks Obiwan.
  18. Did the update get rid of the friends function where you could flaunt your popularity on your profile page? I had maybe a down friends before, just realized now I have none. Have my friends forsaken me, or is this just the new software?
  19. I'm liking the part selection thus far. Cant wait to see it built.
  20. All right fine. What if I drill the pilot holes myself? I'm trying to do business with ya Pete, trying hard.
  21. How much for implants if I supply my own drywall screws? Can I get dog teeth installed as an option? A few dental biscuits a month and I'm set. Also, how much to cerakote one gold?
  22. I loves me some good satire.
